Eubank Snr was wearing a black 'outdoor' suit.

Aside from the fact that he contributed nothing to his son's chances of beating Saunders, he made himself and the corner look like fools. So who was it who granted dispensation to Eubank Snr to flout the Boards rules.

If this particular rule is seen nowadays as being outdated -then lets get it changed - but until then the Rules should be enforced equally across the country.

Carl Greaves tweeted about this also. Time they stopped pretending they're bigger than the sport.

i dont like the fact hes in the ring - i know myself that theres no way my trainer would let anyone else in the ring putting off the boxer while hes trying to corner (ex world champion, dad or otherwise) this is boxing not wwf!

That is why the board need to take action.

Still it is pretty funny. If Euwank Jnr had a proper trainer saying proper things in the first four rounds he may have won!!

I know it was bad - but nothing compared to the number of people chewing Liam Walsh's ear in the corner ! All shouting over each other. Mayhem.

Snr mentioned after the previous fight where he got into the ring that he had cleared it with the board...

The worst bit was when Ronnie Davies was told to stop talking when he was telling Jr he needed to knock him out

I'd have walked off there and then if i was Ronnie. He deserves better than being mugged off like that

Although I'm being critical of Eubank snr in this thread it doesn't take away from my view that he is one of the best British boxers in the last 50 or so years, he was certainly one of the toughest.

It was all part of the illusion/marketing that Jnr was a natural, didn't need advice and that Snr and Ronnie Davies had so much confidence in his ability they didn't need to be concerned with giving advice and direction. That has been shown to be a conceit; Jnr is not the second coming of Charlie Burley and the set up for other boxers at his level and above ought to be good enough for him; people put a lot of time and effort into being accredited so they can be in the ring and deliver advice, if Snr wants to do that he ought to go through the same process.

I remember in 1 of Jr's earlier fights when Sr started entering the ring,he was told to change before he got in and he did

So i dont know why now he's getting away with it

The Board's rules apply to the lesser people.

New rules, a new administration and a new outlook is required.

Eubank Sr is the only person who Chris Jr. will listen to im sure.

Once Eubank Sr actually started talking to him and telling him what to do in the second half of the fight, I thought Eubank Jr dominated.

Very true , and what they did was convince everyone except Jnr ,, because for the first 6 rnds he looked like a rabbit in the headlights , , he actually looked like he did'nt want to be there , he was stiff slow ponderous , Then at sometime he woke up and decided to have a go , if he had done that in the first 6 he may have won , but then again he may off gassed out .

What he needed to be told from his dad , because he obviously will not listen to anyone else , was apply the pressure . But Dad was too busy posturing in the corner , thinking its about him not Jnr .

I wish everyone would stop moaning, it makes it more entertaining. I love the whole Eubank Snr story. I love the fact he doesn't say anything in the corner, it's great TV!!

Thats excatly what it is GREAT TV ,, but its not what you pay for GREAT BOXING MATCHES , . . i want great tv i'll watch reruns of the Simpsons . Enjoy it while it lasts , because the way Jnr fights and the way snr acts , i doubt if promoters will want to work with them for much longer , UNLESS jnr learns how to box better.

Then if you want to watch comedy you will have to go hang around Brighton on sunday mornings , and wait for the monoculed one to do his daily strutt up the esplanade
