950k, Now that doesn't sound too bad and i'm sure he'll get a few quid from sky sports too but when compared to Bradley's 2 million it's nothing special. For me Khan is in the much tougher fight. Does Al Haymon represent Bradley?

Dollars, just over £600k. Good money, but probably not a lot in Vegas terms. Purses are here - http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/post ... d-in-vegas

It's very good money for a nothing fight. Even with rakes of comps being dished out there'll be a lot of empty seats.

At least the purse on Saturday is actually real, unlike Hearn's offer. Besides which it was $5m, not $8m

Wasn't there a IFL TV video about purses when it was explained that the declared purses in the USA are not the entire earnings but the contracted amount from the promoter but there will be additional dealings in place e.g. Khan will for example get all the Sky money on top of that declared amount?

Presumably something to do with where taxation is incurred and due

It's case by case. Sometimes the declared purses are accurate and there are no extras, sometimes they're inaccurate one way or the other, sometimes they're accurate and there are extras to go on top. You need to see the contract to know for sure (and even then it's still boxing...).

the sky money for this can't be that great. It was only announced a couple of weeks back, it's on at 4am and they've barely plugged it. It's more important for the khan camp to have it on tv than it is for sky.

Not really, Sky are only in because of a potential Brook or Mayweather blockbuster.

Those fights sell themselves. They don't need this fight to get ready for that.

Brook is in the studio tonight, of course it helps to put him back on Sky. He hasn't boxed on there for ages. Not everyone has BN you know.

It doesn't matter though. Khan in a British superfight will sell huge numbers on ppv and Khan v mayweather will do the same whether or not this fight is on sky, allegedly or the adult channel.

All I'm saying is that this fight will not make sky money tonight and will have little effect on the next ppv as they are huge events. Therefore, they will not be paying a great dealof money for tonight. It benefits khan more than sky.

I thought it was a Showtime production - if Sky are going to procure the show it will be from them and any interested party (like GBP)

Sky will be buying the broadcast, not just one single fight. It's not box office here.
