Andy Lees superb finish against koborov/korobov the other night has made me remember certain finishes that were against the flow of play to use an old football cliché.

Obviously Lees one in his previous fight against the son of Julian Jackson was an absolute belter.

What about Julian Jackson himself putting a showboating bomber graham to sleep!

What about Carl Thompson's one punch levelling of ?Sebastian Rothmann?


More please..... its what makes boxing great, its the only sport I guess that you can be 10-0 down and in the last minute of play and you can win the match.

Froch Taylor was up there

Very entertaining fight but it's a bit of joke regarding Andy Lee as world 'champion' when virtually everyone in the top 20 would probably beat him.

Thought Acelino Freitas looked on his way to defeat against Larios, until he found that corker of a shot at the end of the 10th

Bit harsh. Lee has genuine power at MW and has at least a chance Vs most because of it.

Regarding the original post. Froch Taylor definitely stands out for me. Froch Groves 1 could have topped this without the early stoppage, but then we wouldn't have got Froch Groves 2! Also thought Coyle was down and out against Brizuela but that was more of a back and forth battle.

I can remember Gatti levelling Ruelas when he was really up against it; in fact Gatti did it in a few bouts.

Oh and how could I forget Benn McClellan. Unreal.

LaMotta & Dauthuille, a mile behind on the cards and less than 30 seconds to go in the 15th and final round, LaMotta nails him with a barrage of punches and he's counted out with only 13 seconds left on the clock.

Jorge Castro against John David Jackson, a mile behind on the cards and taking the mother of all pastings, eyes busted shut, bleeding profusely and on the brink of being stopped. The referee is literally raising his hands to stop the fight when Castro pulls out a huge left hook and effectively ends the fight with it. Jackson all over the shop.

Weaver vs Tate - A country mile behind on points after being soundly outboxed, he manages to pull back a few rounds but going into the 15th he's got no chance of winning on points but levels Tate against the ropes with a huge hook and puts him to sleep with about 30 seconds left. Epic.

Tate would unravel against Berbick in his comeback and get knocked out late again.

Chavez/Taylor. We all know what happened there. Again, the stuff of legends.

Foreman/Moorer. Louis/Conn. Leonard/Hearns I.

Murphy and Mutti - That bizarre Rockyesque double knockdown in the last round.

That was unreal. It was the UC to a Lewis fight in AC, I think. Cold night but that finish just sent shivers down my spine watching it live on TV. He was taking a pasting and right on the verge of "going" after taking a succession of combinations and big punches before levelling him with a huge left hook which laid him flat on his back. Amazingly, Ruelas got up. That fight never gets old.

Iran Berkley v Tommy Hearns 1 was well against the run of play, Iran was busted up and on the verge of being stopped.

Matthew Saad Muhammad wasn't known as Miracle Matthew for nothing, he had more than his share of come from behind KOs. I'd guess the second Lopez one fight and the first Johnson fight top the list.

A flat foot, faded version of Tyson was getting outboxed and humiliated by Botha (he kept on chatting in his ear) and then from knowwhere 'BOOM' a short right hand on the point of the chin in round 5.

Colin Jones- Kirkland Laing fights. I think the second one ended with one big left hook.
