Frampton v Avalos 28/2/14 TV?

I see Frampton v Avalos has been confirmed for 28/2/2015.

Its the same day as the Tyson Fury bill on allegedly, so wonder what channel Framptons fight will be on. I know his deal with allegedly ran out but thought that was still the more likely place to see his next one.

Doubt it given Frampton's fight would be in Belfast if it was in the UK or could Frampton be fighting in the States?

Since Eddie is sxxt-stirring with his 'representation' of Avalos, he'll presumably get it on sky. Would be good to see him stick quigg on the same show too to build momentum towards a summer showdown.

Quigg has just had surgery and is out till the summer. Which i presume he will have a warm up fight before trying to get Frampton late September

Could the fight be announced on Ringside tonight? Can't see Frampton not being on TV.

Cant see it happening without TV, surely it will make a loss without it?

allegedly have done two bills from UK time zones simultaneously in the past (Flintoff and David Price) - so wouldn't write them off completely.

It's a very good fight as well. I can only think if it does appear on BN that it will be a late fight, say 11.45am start to possibly reach the US audience?

The fight is going to be on sky
It's my understanding Mcguigan has agreed a 3 fight deal.
This is nothing to do with Eddie Hearns deal it's a standalone agreement.
With Hearn having a small stake in Avalos he will claim that Hes brockered the deal like he said he did with Sauerland/Groves to try to safe face.
The monopoly is bit by bit being removed - Sauerland, McGuigan have got their own deals - I've heard Khan is looking to do his own deal with Sky also..

Hopefully it will be good news all around - at the moment with Hearn exclusive deal there are more Saturdays' without boxing than with boxing on Sky.... therefore hopefully a few promoters getting a couple of Saturday slots will benefit the view and it won't damage what Hearn does.

More than that, shows that Sky might actually be putting more money into boxing, as the Matchroom deal was so far all the money they were putting up

Just heading home from the press conference, when Barry was asked about the TV he said the broadcast partner would be announced in January and did not comment further about it

Tickets on sale tomorrow 10am on ticketmaster.ie 28th Feb at the Belfast Odyssey Arena starting at £45

Avalos was in attendance and the presser was busy as they always are with the Belfast fans. It was pretty fiesty when Avalos predicted that he would stop Frampton and that he had no power etc. Frampton was in good form and responded well with the comments going back & forward for some time.

There were plenty cameras there so I'm sure it will be up somewhere soon, possibly the Ulster TV website or on Cyclone Promotions YouTube channel, forgot to ask!

If it does go on sky, and if we are right in thinking that it's blow to eddies monopoly, I would put money on fwank being the first to announce it even thought he's not involved.

Yeah, but we can criticise Matchroom all we want (and yes Clev vs Bellew 2 was worthy of the stick).... however over the course of the last 12 months ask me what have I preferred the British bills on Sky, or the British bills on allegedly - I would have to say Sky.

For some reason ifl won't go to n ireland, apparently had some sort of issues there which is a shame. Hearns monopoly defo hurts boxing, guarantee he wouldent have put on some tosh he has if he had competition on the same channel putting on competitive fights

If it`s a 3 fight deal then yep it looks like a threat to hearn`s dominance on Sky if it`s just for one fight with the hope of a big ppv clash between Quigg-Frampton then Hearn will be more then happy with the situation we a shall see.I would be slightly surprised if it is a 3 fight deal with no involvement form Hearn because Frampton was quite critical of Sky when he left and I didn`t think they would forgive or forget quite so easily.
Does anyone know if Saurland actually have a sky deal for Grove`s or have they just with permission of Hearn just used one of his dates for Groves which is the way it looked when Saurland provided a subpar undercard sorted out by Hearn,if they genuinely had there own date for it I would of though they could of stretched to a better undercard. They will give Khan his own dates which doesn`t realy matter to Hearn because Khan mainly fight I the US and Khan had the same kind of deal a few years back on Sky

I can imagine it will be on Sky with the intent of building up to the Quigg-Frampton fight, as has been previously said, however I do want to see that but I believe it will be a very comfortable nights work for Frampton and it wont be that much of a fight.

Eddie Hearn represents Avalos so I can't for the life of me see Matchroom being unhappy if it isn't. In fact on the contrary is imagine Eddie, Sky and Matchroom will all want this fight to be on Sky.
