Stevenson vs Froch

This fight really make sense to me....btw know anyone what is fight weight of Carl Froch ?
Stevenson goes as heavy as 220 in between fights this is one of the reasons his stamina is so bad, he drains himself getting all that weight offCheckHook wrote:Froch usually weighs in the low 170s in the ring, I think. Pretty sure he was 171 vs Kessler.... If he does ever move to 175 he'll be at a huge disadvantage unless he bulks up somehow. Kovalev is in the mid 180s, not sure about Stevenson, but I'd imagine he's upper 180s in the ring.
Its been at least 2 years since Stevenson made 168, so its not happening since Froch is ready to retire.Cent0089 wrote:This fight really make sense to me....btw know anyone what is fight weight of Carl Froch ?

Stevenson't weight advantage is too big, and I doubt that he would agree to a catch weight. If Froch was a real danger for Stevenson, the fight would never happen, as Haymon fighter equals a cherry picker.
Very funny. Was Bellew Mayweather's mandatory at any time ?Rexob wrote:ikorolev wrote:All statements above about this discussion being unrealistic are true, but we can still discuss.

Bellew vs Mayweather would be an interesting fight, unrealistic but discuss anyway.
No he's at least 5 weight divisions heavier.ikorolev wrote:Very funny. Was Bellew Mayweather's mandatory at any time ?Rexob wrote:ikorolev wrote:All statements above about this discussion being unrealistic are true, but we can still discuss.

It's not pure fantasy at all.fergusg wrote:A pointless discussion! This is a pure fantasy fight that does not belong in the "Current Scene" BoxRec forum section.
Well, Stevenson was Froch's mandatory less than two years ago, which makes your comparison stupid.Rexob wrote:No he's at least 5 weight divisions heavier.ikorolev wrote:Very funny. Your post was too long, I couldn't be bothered with it.fergusg wrote:The fight won't happen... EVER! It's not on anyone's radar, other than those fight fans that have a penchant for dreaming about fantasy fights that have no possibility of occurring… EVER!![]()
Carl Froch told Sky's Ringside TV program... “I don’t think he [Adonis] has any plans on coming back down to super middleweight , and I certainly don’t have any plans on going up to light heavyweight. I can’t see that fight happening, to be honest.
Carl Froch then told Sky Sports News that "If the Chavez fight doesn't happen, there's a strong chance of me retiring a happy man."
Adonis Stevenson became Carl Froch’s IBF mandatory challenger on the 20th October, 2012.
As per the stipulated rules, ‘The Cobra’ opted to engage in a title unification bout against Mikkel Kessler on the 25th May, 2013, rather than compete against a 20-fight novice (Adonis Stevenson) that had already tasted defeat to an anonymous name.
A couple of months before Carl Froch had even fought Mikkel Kessler, Adonis Stevenson had already made the jump to the 175lb weight division.
Therefore, there was never any real possibility of Carl Froch facing Adonis Stevenson… and if they had done (at 168lbs), then I have complete and utter confidence that the man from Nottingham would have overwhelmed the Canadian and scored a late stoppage in fairly dominant fashion.
Simply put: the calibre of the men that Adonis Stevenson has faced throughout his career (to plagiarise a phrase coined by the legendary Larry Holmes), weren’t fit to carry Froch’s jockstrap!
You should hurry up and get to the point, instead of waffling.fergusg wrote:Your inability to read results in your intellectually-challenged opinions!
Froch vs Stevenson is not some wild fantasy fight. It is well within the realm of reality.fergusg wrote:My initial post was concise and consisted of only one short sentence. When you tried to challenge my claim, I decided to back-up the reasoning for my opinion, by citing evidence, which seems to be a reasonable ploy to prove doubters wrong.
And… I have no idea who this Craney fellow is.
