Will he get passed to fight again? Didn't edwin Valero get banned for the same injury?

no idea, way to early to know. But if he's had invasive surgury it wouldn't be good.
Ankles can be buggers as well, that could really hinder his comeback if he's passed fit to box on.

He hasn't had surgery on anything other than his ankle. I don't think the head injury will be a problem

The issue with the medical isn't the skull fracture, its an potential damage to the brain so it all depends on the scan.
As everyone has said it looks really really positive which is great news.
With a double fracture on the ankle there's 8 - 10 weeks recuperation then its getting back training and then most of important of all his Manager / Promoter securing another chance - but it can't be before September / October 2015 ? I would estimate.

He has to be grateful he's still alive. As for the dodgy ankle couch potatoes brigade

I done every to my ankle but break the bone, the nurse the doctor and physio said it would have been better to break it as I had severely damaged all 3 ligaments that hold te ankle together, damaged the soft tissue between the lower leg bone and the ankle bone.
I was out of action for around 6-8weeks before I could train again then had to manage what I done regarding putting pressure through it. Didn't play football until te new season in August after damaging it in march. And still get problems now and then at night when it can give way if it's cold and I put weight on it going up and down stairs.
That will be crolla's biggest challenge. Getting his ankle duly healed and tough enough to cope with the rigours of a boxing career.

Edwin Valero suffered a brain injury after crashing a motorcycle whilst not wearing a helmet so its different to what Anthony Crolla has experienced.
