He has an affiliation with Pakistan as his parents were born there,if he didnt have Pakistan roots then i doubt he'd be going over,if his visit can raise awareness and maybe even help some young kids change their beliefs then its a great gesture

Three years ago he raised £102,000 for Oxfam to rebuild five schools devastated by floods in Pakistan. He's also done other work for Oxfam, raising money and profile of their campaigns, going out to help in relief centres.
After the London tube bombings he spoke out against terrorism, a British muslim voice who spoke up.

He's using his name to do good for people. How anyone can knock this is beyond me.

Maybe some people think it would be better to just go into nightclubs and "make it rain".

Great post. Some post just smack of taking a cheap shot even tho Khan's comments stand up in their own right. They should be kept in perspective as just that however. I'm sure there's plenty of people who can appreciate what is a worthy sentiment by a decent human being.

I don't think it's always a race thing as to why he gets grief on here. It's more about his own PR and how he just loves to talk about himself. You could argue why doesn't he just donate money to rebuild the schools rather than come out with a statement like 'the Taliban can threaten me'.

Donate money and help kids out behind closed doors rather than go to the press! Also I have never actually seen him help a charity out that is not linked to Islam in some way, which I guess is his choice but you could argue that doesn't help his relationships. Why doesn't he help the Jewish community or the homeless that are not from an Asian or Islamic background?

How can you assume things like that, how do you know what he does ? Someone mentioned he helps Oxfam, who are Christian charity, I believe, maybe some could go to muslims, but if biased then he could have donated with Islamic relief instead of Oxfam.

Well done Khan. One of of our best talents. Like him or loathe him, the guy is a household name. Moving weight has helped him. He always struggled at lower weights. He has not ducked any fighter contrary to peoples opinions. He wanted Bradley in his prime and he ducked him. He wants mayweather who will decline the fight. Pacman fight might not take place. I do believe he will fight brook as money talks, however if he loses to mayweather which is a 50/50 fight he can a still fight brook. Brook beat one decent fighter on his career but his track record is not great compared to khan. Be a great fight. Khans chin may also have improved with moving weight. That said khans power is not as great as brook. His trainer has improved his defence and if he continues to not get involved in wars he could outpoint brook easily.
