Whitaker Calls out Buchanan in Week 12

Whitaker refuses to fight anyone rated 10 or lower.
He just fought a bum last week because the Commish drafted a bum for him to fight.
And because no one else would stand up to him.
So....in accordance with his core values. He will face Buchanan IF Buchanan has intestinal fortitude.
We apologize to Joe Gans who is coming off of a win, however we see that Joe does not make the top 10 this week.
Perhaps we will take a rain check....but we can not have our reputation besmirched by taking two bums on in a row.
Crease would begin rumors that we are some sort of fromage champion. And we are sensitive to these sorts of vile accusations.

What on earth do you think you are playing at. We had a deal. Done.
I will accept senility and under medication as valid excuses, nothing else. Now retract this foolish thread and prepare for Joe Gans. As contracted.

It's complicated, but I can't compromise my standards.
Your man is rated too low for a legend like Whitaker.
I feel bad. Must be something I ate...
Oh....and there's a rumor I have no scruples. But don't you believe them.
Tell you what, If Buchanan does not want it, we'll do this thing this week.
If he accepts, We'll give you ample step aside money, and let you chew on JLC this week.
So yes, your fighter is being avoided. A first in boxing history! Wear it as a badge of honor. And prepare to be beaten to a pulp next week.
If you don't like my wise and extremely fair offer, I suggest you pound sand.

That's downright dirty Buzz. A real low blow. And no one is more determined than Ken Buchanan to rid boxing of such disgraceful betrayal. Keep your word, we refuse to participate in your evil scheme.

I'm gettin' damn sick and tired of all this "goodness, and high moral fiber" being dished our around here.
It's time for a good ol' bad guy vibe to permeate, and help toughen this bunch of pansies.
