Surprisingly, Brazil´s top boxer and one of the gold medal favorites for the 2016 Rio Olympics, Everton Lopes has signed with Sheer Sports Management. Lopes, 26 years, won gold at the 2011 World Championships at 141 lbs. Lopes is also a two-time Olympian, two-time Pan Am Games medalist (silver in 2007 and bronze in 2011) and 2013 World Championships bronze medalist. He has beaten a number of current top prospects in amateur tournaments around the world; Sadam Ali, Francisco Vargas, Jose Pedraza, Anthony Yigit, Jeff Horne and Raynell Williams among others.
Lopes is an explosive southpaw who has a good pro style with experience from the WSB. He will be fighting as a lightweight and hopefully he will be fast tracked to a world title shot.

As long as he has been around, I am surprised they didn't get him to go APB. I just saw him box in Finland and though he won the tournament, he didn't look as sharp as I have seen him before like the '07 Pan Am Games.
