Antonio has been pretty vocal about fighting Haye. He must be pretty old by now but I think it would be a ok fight, considering Haye hasn't fought in like two years now

Haye would win fairly easily in my opinion and I don't find it an interesting bout. Tarver may have beaten the uninterested Banks but it's important not to forget how he looked against Kayode, and how the latter subsequently performed against a genuine HW in Ortiz.

Haye, for all the nonsense I think he can talk, is clearly the second best guy in the division when he's on in my opinion.

Haye insists that 2015 will be the "Year of the Hayemaker," so a comeback appears imminent. Claims his shoulder is apparently recovered and he's punching harder than ever.
So a matchup with Tarver could be in the offing.
Have to agree with crusader that a bout with Tarver would be a routine "get the rust out" workout for Haye.
Despite his pullouts and his infamous "little toe" escapade with Klitschko, Haye may very well be the second best heavy out there. Tarver wouldn't prove much of a comeback obstacle.

He barely got the decision over Valuev.Knocked out a faded and over the hill Ruiz
and beat Chisora who everyone called a bum when Fury beat him

But some how Haye is the freaking second coming of Jesus himself according to some idiots.
He hasn't fought in 2 and a half years and is no spring chicken.We have no idea how much he
has left in the tank to begin with.

Read my carefully-worded post again and then compare his resume to the likes of Stiverne, Wilder and Fury.

Ferg I respect your opinion.But I do not agree with it.Haye has a mediocre resume as a heavyweight.
And Stiverne and Wilders resume's are pathetic.

That's why I added the last part of the post. If he comes back and has regressed he may no longer be the best guy after Wlad, but if he largely retains his form from his HW stint I suspect that he'd be the second best in the division. Guys like Povetkin and Fury may have stronger resumes, though Chisora is arguably Fury's best win and I thought Haye beat Chisora even more impressively, but resumes don't equate to ability.

I don't know if it's just me, but I don't rate fury very much. I would pick Haye over him any day

I think Tarver has the skill set to beat Haye but is probably too old to do so.

David Haye has incredible potential as a fighter. I'd never knock that aspect about him. The Klitschko fight gave him a war chest to tend to and become a part time boxer in addition to being a horrible non-contest thanks to Haye's refusal to engage and attempt winning the fight. That will forever stain my viewpoint of Haye in my mind. Yeah, maybe that was smart on his part, I won't lie, but I don't watch boxing to see guys make brilliant business moves. After all, the smartest move is to never get hit in the head for money to begin with.

I also think David Haye is second best in the division if active. He's got the abilities of an all-time great, minus the resume because he's always cared more about retirement than chasing good fights. But he came a lot closer to beating Wlad than Povetkin and Pulev did, he beat Valuev, and he turned Chisora's lights off. You're not going to find anyone else with two top 10 wins and who came close to beating Wlad in his prime.

only non klitschko fighters with better resumes are

1. povetkin - charr, takam, chambers, Byrd, chagaev
2. pulev - dimitrenko, Thompson, ustinov
3. fury - Cunningham, chisora x2, Johnson (before he came a gatekeeper)
4. Jennings - Perez, szpilka
