Joe is a very talented exciting fighter who seems to be just doing nothing with his career and seems happy to watch his mate liam smith win all the belts and then say I can't fight liam he is a mate, so instead he just fights bums and wastes his career. As a amateur he knocked outs sam web and anthony ogogo and big things were expected of joe but he has just ended up doing nothing. I think he has missed the boat now and someone like liam Williams who is hungry and kept active destroys him.

young men always think they have plenty of time. Suddenly you are in your 30s and it is all over.

He's a good boxer and seems like a nice guy but ive seen him a lot and i still havent seen the hype that his amateur days mustered

A lot of good fighters perform better against better opposition,maybe Selkirk's like that,so fighting Latvians isnt gona progress his career as quick as it should

They're pretty good judges.

He is 30 this year, hasnt fought for a year. Unless he gets moving this year it is going to be tough to see him going anywhere really.

Neil Perkins is another one who is 35 but doesnt seem to be in a hurry.

also Louis Cuddy did a "walk before I can run interview" this year and he late 30s

His career needs momentum & has never catched light & I think he's been disheartend like most would & probably ain't helped himself.i was really looking fwd to seeing him in done quality fights & I'm still waiting. I touted him to do great as a pro...

I think he has missed his window of opportunity and he has also fell out of love with the game, was his undefeated records goes I think that will be it for him

Thats the problem with a slow burn career. One defeat and where do you go? And that also creates extra pressure. Maybe injury has held him back?

Who is his manager / promoter?

A dozen fights in 7 years as a pro - without fighting "anybody" - and 30 years old. I hate it that it is a factor, but he can't be a big ticket seller or otherwise he would have been moved on by now.

He might as well take a mega risky fight or jib it.

There is no point in carrying on as he is - particularly with Smith in the same city, the British title will not be in reach for a couple of years.
