Looks like they are on the ropes, we can only hope they really do dissapear up their own assholes, less is definetly more when it comes to boxing commissions, however the vaccum it could create might make things worse rather than better. Let's hope this national commission gets underway, and is followed up by a world-wide administratrive body.

they will probably reform, and give all their current belt holders a new belt or something, and just change it from World Boxing Council to World Boxing Committee. Cynical i know.

Both the WBF and WBE went through a name change, so it'll be no surprise if it happens.

I always thought the WBC were regarded as the most credible sanctioning body, so if they go under I dread to think what will happen - we'll have Frank W. telling us that the WBU is now the fourth major sanctioning body or something like that.

I agree that the WBC will probably still be around as the Committee rather than Council. Everybody complains about the alphabet bodies, but if the fans keep buying the tickets, the fights will keep offering worthless titles to the winners.

I wonder if one of the other sanctionbodies quickly changes their name to WB commision so the average fan that doesnt know that the real WBC is out of the game wil think their champs are the real deal.
