Naoya's dad is Shingo Inoue, the guy with glasses and spiky hair

Not sure who trans Ota but it won't be Mr Inoue, be someone from the Nakaya thingy gym

think his name is takashi inoue that trains ota , some great fighters comng through man I'm excited for 2015

Shingo is the older guy stood next to Naoya in this picture, as far as I'm aware he only trains his 2 sons but their achievements this year have been amazing

So does this mean my Narvaez,decision,close is out the window in the PTBF

I hadnt heard of Inoue but i had a feeling i was gonna be wrong in my prediction when i seen everyone else's,i hadnt changed my predictions all year so wasnt gonna start on last fight of the year

I'll keep my eye out for him though thats 2 impressive stoppages in a row

I remember people saying you knew you stuff when it came to the little men,Datsue helped me out too showing me some great fights

Because there not on TV here,i dont keep up to date with them which is a shame as TBH i'd rather watch them any day of the week than 2 overweight slobs plod on in 10 rounder over in Germany which is what we get over here

You do realise HE was the one going up 2 divisions for this fight, right?

He stepped up 2 divisions to fight Narvaez.

I do think Narvaez was there for the taking though, 39, not travelled outside Argentina for years, never attempted to unify the division and hadn't fought a top contender in years. Seemed like a cash out fight to me, took a look at Inoue, realised he was struggling and packed it in on a body shot. Inoue was fantastic and he's clearly a quality fighter, but I think the fight flatters him a little bit. More than anything, Narvaez just couldn't match him for hand or foot speed, he looked really slow in there.

At 21, he's naturally filling up.
All these Japanese fighters look very good on the offensive side, but the defensive part is more often than not lacking ( Nishikori was the exception, though).

I don't see any difference here.

Solid win for Inoue, but he was a -1200 range favorite for a reason. He's definitely a guy to keep an eye on and looks to have a promising career ahead. Fighter of the year though, I disagree.

get him to shave 3lbs or so and stick him in with Chocalatito, cue immense orgasms from our resident midget-lovers
