Team Wilder and Bryant Jennings get their respective chances in the new year.

Aside from Fury and Cunningham (who offer excitement) which other prospects could make waves of one kind or another?

heres some unbeaten ones:

Joseph Parker 12-0 (10)
6ft 4. packs a lot of power. needs a big test now.

Lucas Browne 22-0 (19)
6ft 4. built like a tank. he is very raw and pretty slow but will attack with power for a few rounds. needs a big test but is likely to get stopped on a sloppy head clash before he gets too much further. Covered in tattoos

Anthony Joshua 10-0 (10)
6FT6. Everyone is following this kid. perfect matchmaking next year against kevin Johnson, a ko would be impressive. :box:

Andy Ruiz - a sub-arreola...way too fat :shame:

Erkan Teper 13-0 (9)
6ft5. scored some big ko's but laboured against Outah in his last fight in June. seems to have dissapeared?

Charles Martin 18-0-1 (16)
not sure how tall he is? looks about 6ft5? raw power. very interesting prospect who should make the breakthrough in 2015 :salut:

Washington and Breazeale are big guys but the matchmaking so far is pure Team Wilder stuff. Certainly breazeale looks a bit soft already. Why not fight each other next? :bag:

of the other unbeaten fighters there are a few quirky ones

adam Kownacki 8-0 very inactive
yazmany Consuegra 16-0 (14) unknown
jarrell miller 10-0-1 poser, shows too much thigh (silly shorts)
jon wesley nofire 16-0 bottom feeding
trevor bryan 12-0 6ft5 fighting in germany soon
bogdan dinu 12-0 6ft 5 looks powerful so far. on the cunningham undercard
aaron green 15-0 has stalled completely. was injured but probably has admin problems.
akror muralimov 16-0 only 5tft11 but a beast. needs more fights.

I really we find out if AJ can take a shot and has stamina in 2015.

If he can he is the heir to the heavyweight throne no doubt.

my sentiments as well, and i get the feeling he is the real deal considering what he's achieved in such a short number of fights.

Hughie Fury has been idle a while but is slated to fight the once beaten Rudenko who dropped a decision to Browne.

Tall heavyweight prospects. Not contenders. Not old men with minimal career possibilities. Just prospects...
Daniel Martz: 12-1, 24 years old, 6' 7", #89 on boxrec
Trevor Bryan: 12-0, 25 years old, 6' 4", #93 on boxrec
Hughie Fury: 14-0, 20 years old, 6' 6", #112 on boxrec
Herve Hubeaux: 19-1, 22 years old, 6' 4", #131 on boxrec
Tom Schwarz: 10-0, 20 years old, 6' 5", #152 on boxrec

IMO, Hughie Fury is the most noteworthy of these individuals. Daniel Martz may be the second most noteworthy.

I've been very impressed with how Joshua has looked against his opponents so far
but i've said many times, I've got that feeling that something is lacking, that something you can't quite put your finger on, you've not seen it yet because he's been destroying overmatched opponents, but you just get the feeling it's there and it will be exposed when he steps up in class

I don't know if it's a chin issue, stamina, a defensive frailty, a lack of finishing ability at a higher level or an inability to adapt when the script doesn't go his way.
I don't know what it is because he has looked so damned good so far, but I just get the feeling he's going to look very impressive until he gets in the ring with the top 5 or 6 guys and then come up short in some department.

I wish Hughie Fury hadn't been so inactive, as if he'd been busy, I think Hughie vs Joshua would have been one we'd all have been screaming for over here.
That would be a real test of where both of them are at.
Hughie doesn't look as devastating or brilliant as Joshua at the lower level, but I just get the feeling Hughie might go further once they get to the business end of the division.

If they were to fight this early, they most likely would make a small fraction of what they'd make in 2-3 years when they are both in the top 25.

I think the one that will emerge on the mainstream scene will probably be Parker. He has no gotten lots of visibility so far due to fighting mainly in N-Z but he is sometimes on Wlad's undercards.

He has gotten threw the lower/average gatekeeper level of opposition impressively. Now he needs to step up in 2015 and he has the style and pop to make it happen. He is a fan friendly heavy too, young and hungry. He has speed and balance for a big guy and a nice arsenal of punches including a good distance game with pop.

Joshua could probably do the same in 2015 but i think his opposition will probably be similar to what we've seen in 2014

I like Browne because he is a great guy outside the ring. He is slow... BUT he always establishes a strong winning gameplan and executes it well. I like how he stays from distance, uses the backhand jab and waits for opportunities to create themselves.

Ruiz Jr is still imo a good prospect. If he can reduce his weight, he has enough hand skills to be a good player in 2015. His body work is brutal.

Teper has been an hot and cold type of fighter. Can look great, he can also look like crap. His army amateur boxing background really shows... He sometimes shows glimpses of interesting and intriguing talent but can look very average after that.

I really hope Martin picks up back where he left in july of 2014. His opposition was better in 2013... Seems like his career slowed down since he signed with King Sports...

... more to come

Comparing him to Seth Mitchell just because they both played football is dumb. AJ, Martin, Breazeale all had prior experience in other sports before taking up boxing late. They all started boxing at the same time. Washington is the only one who actually grew up boxing from the age of 7 to 17

didnt know he played football.....nor did i say!!!
each to their own, i judge boxers when they have a streak of beating 2-3 top 10 heavyweights
