Will be boxing Martin Gethin on the Mersey Boys show topped by Paul Butler at the Echo.
Another good test for Jack and one I think he will come through.
Overall the card looks good hoping for two big names for Liam Smith and Derry Mathews

Good fight for Caterall at this stage in his career. Gethin should ask some questions for sure but Caterall should come through. It's a very interesting cross roads fight; looking forward to it!

good test for Jack was impressed with him against Stalker
Liam Smith seems frustrated with his opposition, hopefully he gets a big fight. Smith vs Rose would be a great fight

Hearns just announced Gethin's fighting Tommy Coyle the next day in Hull.
Catterall would make more sense as I know Gethin was going up to Light Welter.

The fight was never on. Don't know where these rumours surface.
Coyle v Gethin 7 March.
Cambell v Sykes
Eggington v Singleton
Think Fielding is on as well.

Looks a decent matched bill (especially by Matchrooms usual standard) but still can't help think its a bit of a con just to build Coyle v Campbell

Hahaha it said the same thing happened with khomitsky. The IFL interviews on this will be a good listen from both sides.

Catterall said it was Gethin next on an Ifilm video the other day.

He was scheduled to fight Ryder in October, but they pulled him out. As things stand, I can't see either fight happening and all three are at fault.

Warren - Agreeing the fight in principle, but not putting it in writing
Hearn - Making a fight with someone under contract to another promoter, without asking them
Gethin's manager - Agreeing a fight, then pulling out to fight on another show, knowing full well that Gethin has a contract with Warren

Warrens Twitter says he's got a written contract ?

They have a promotional contract with Gethin, but I don't know whether they'd need another contract for him to fight Catterall, if they do/did, they don't have one.

Gethins Manager is surely the only person that can agree to fights?
Frank's job would be to promote his bouts and nothing more?
I don't understand these Manager / promoter relationships anymore i tell thee.

Frank has an exclusive promotional agreement with him, Gethin's manager will have to agree to fights, but they will be promoted by Frank, unless permission is given for him to fight on another promoters show, in this case it hasn't, so Eddie's contract with Gethin is worth less than the paper it's printed on.
That's my understanding of it, based on what both sides have said.

Catterall is a tough fight for gethin
i think coyle would outbox him but i could see gethin taking a real pounding from catterall.
