Matthews Vs Abril

With the exception of Terrence Crawford, the lightweight division isn't the best at the moment. This is proved by Abril Vs Matthews, which can be seen as one of the poorer matchups for a World title that will have been seen for the last couple of years....perhaps only outdone by Scott Quigg. Abril was obviously desperate to get a UK opponent, and the fact that Matthews is the highest ranked British fighter in he WBA rankings make a further mockery of that organisation.

I would be surprised with anything other than a UD for Abril.

Derry really is a rollercoaster ride for any of his fans, He doesn't deserve the shot and will most definitely be comprehensively beat but being a hypocrite to some extent i don't care. His career has been an absolute joy for all the domestic UK fans and I'm glad he will be able in retirement to say he fought for a "world" title.

I see Abril by stoppage late in the fight through incredible accuracy of landed punches.

It's very hard not to like Derry,Absolute warrior and has taken his licks but also has real one punch power.
i would love Derry to win so he could defend and retire on good money after a very long, hard productive career.

Abril TKO after the doc stops it when Derry's nose inevitably goes.

If anyone deserves a world title fight without deserving it, it's Derry, fought just about everyone on the domestic scene for nearly a decade. I think Abril will win, but you never know with Derry, Abril's fought once in 2 years and Tatli gave him a good fight, I don't see why Derry couldn't do the same and if it's close, the crowd will swing it in his favour.

With Mathews power he's always got a chance,Derry seems to be a better boxer now than he was 6 years ago,Abril's a quality boxer but if he's not motivated then you just never know
