How does Ron mix with the likes of Tyson, Lewis, Evander, Bowe, Golota, Morrison, Botha, Tua and Ike ?

I think he would definitely be in the mix with about the same success that he had in the 1970's. He could beat Morrison, Mercer, Moorer, Bruno , Witherspoon I reckon and probably fall short against Bowe, Holyfield and Lewis. Lyle vs Tyson would be a great fight in the early 1990's.

If there had been 4 titles in the 70's Ron would certainly have won one of them and with some astute match making defended it quite a few times too; they probably would have been exciting fights with it.

I agree Lewis would beat him, and a peak Tyson would probably have too much power, but against any of the others given the imponderables of boxing and Ron's implacable will to win I'd have to say he's in there with a shot.

He's way up at the very top. The 90s was the era of overfed, prima dona slackers. A slippery, defensive boxing style baffled him, but how many of those types were there in the 90s? Lyle with his explosive punch power, fast hards, fitness, aggressive body attack, and generally ferocious mentality is a living nightmare for most of those men.

Comes up short against Holyfield, Lewis and Bowe - although he'd have a chance of stopping all three, I don't think he would. Lewis, in particular would have to be on top of his game.

An early 90s Tyson probably beats Lyle too.

Lyle beats everyone else.
