Cotto not fighting Canelo. I bet Floyd broke him off some scratch to not fight on May 2nd or maybe even told him to just get an easy win and that he'd rematch him in September.

ya..that would be the togic. otherwise why would cotto not fight canelo? canelo fight means big money, good ppv numbers and most importantly it is a match up everybody is excited about and if cotto would win this one boost his legacy sky high...

while i dont believe floyd paid him off, i still found it strange what the reasons are behind the ducking, both floyd and now cotto realy act like pu$&%§y

I mean cotto fought in martinez a bigger stronger guy than canelo, so why not face canelo...

floyd acts like that tough gangsta who likes boxers wrecking each other for 30 minutes and than he is afraid of an filipino midget hahaha.....

yeah mayweather-cotto 2 should be made, 2 ducking pu&/(ys fighting each other while nobody interrested in it, great :TU:

I love how everyone is jumping to conclusions. Why not wait and see who Pac or Mayweather
sign to fight. There is still a chance they could fight each other.

yeah, but it dont looks good. the ducking continues. and now there is not only floyd but cotto to blame. cause cotto-canelo would have been a great exciting fight and a lot of people me included would have liked to watch that particular fight.

I would love to see Cotto-Canelo..But it goes to show how Oscar is.He is no different than Arum
making promises and announcing fights that are not made. Both are lying sacks of crap.

The fight was not signed. How is this not Oscars fault when he announced the fight without being signed?

you realy retard. oscar and canelo were agreeing with everything maybe even signed to everything, who knows. they wanted the fight, they agreed and just waited for cotto and cotto made them wait and showed no interrest in the fight and in your retarded logic now the man who aggrees to everything is the one to blame.

Why announce the fight? Why hold a one sided press conference.?
Why tell the world it is signed?
Why cause Oscar is a crook.Just like every other promoter.

I don't blame Canelo for not waiting on Cotto. Good example of a couple of prima donnas not being able to agree on terms. Canelo's team says they agreed to Cotto's demands, but none of us know the details, so we can only speculate. Both fighters have had their ass handed to them in the last few years, so neither should balk at wanting to fight.

I applaude Canelo for not making it a fake deadline, and moving on. He has plenty of other opportunities. Him vs Andrade, Charlo brothers, Vanes, even a rematch with Trout or Lara are all good fights. Even Clottey. None are as big as a Cotto fight, but all good challenges for Canelo.
