I didn't get to see the fight tonight. I'd appreciate your opinions on who you think has the edge at the moment.
Thanks

I think Fury is the better boxer but I don't think he will handle Wildr's power. Wilder wins for me.

All Wilder did tonight was box tall. Tyson is as big as him. 50/50 fight.

It depends on which tyson fury turns up. If he boxes smart then i think he can pick wilder off. If he tries to be too clever and starts messing about he gets caught and ko'd.

I'd go with Fury to out point him.
Still not seen Wilder take a flush shot yet so we still don't know how solid his chin is.
But I think Fury would grind out the win.

Fury by ko, in a brutal tussle of giant heavyweights!

Fury has only EVER boxed tall or looked bad.

Fury surprised me in the second Chisora fight. He can really box but I can't see Fury going twelve rounds with wilder without being caught on the chin - much like Ward with Golovkin. I don't think Ward could take Golovkin's best and I don't think Fury could take Wilder's best.
Can Fury hurt Wilder? I'm not sure he hits hard enough.

Stiverne is better than anybody Fury as stepped into a ring with, and offers more threat to. Wilder would be a tentative faourite for me on that basis.

Wilder will bomb Fury in 1 or 2.
Wilder says he hopes to box 4 times a year. I hope he does so. Might mop up a few of the heavyweight miscreants, first and foremost Fury.

The most important factor in this is whether Peter Fury is in the corner.
If this fight is in America he won't be so Tyson will most certainly get knocked spark out IMO. Peter is the only guy who He will listen to. He wasn't there for Cunningham and Tyson had no game plan and criticised afterwards.

Pretty good chance Wilder will come to the UK for this. If so I think anything can happen.

I enjoy watching Tyson box, he's very entertaining but he doesn't hit hard enough to discourage Wilder and he'd get caught by Wilder. Stiverne showed an excellent chin last night, I bet his head is killing him now; Tyson is game as hell but he'd get caught chin up high and go over.

My thought straight after the fight when the American commentators mentioned fury is that fury would be in with a great chance of beating wilder. Stiverne was slow footed and didn't work hard enough to really trouble Wilder.

Not sure, tough call
Stiverne reminded me of Chisora but with less head movement (just plodding forward without a jab)

Wilder for me.
Fury has little power & is easy to hit.

Fury is a 6ft 9ins man who can set a fast pace.
So not only is Wilder going to be the shorter man with neither the height or reach advantage - he is going to have to contend with the fast pace Fury will set.
The thing is, Wilder can go BOOM and it's over - but If Fury boxes smart and ups the tempo after round 4 then it is going to get interesting.

17 KOs in 23 wins, you're making out like he's feather fisted, he's not a massive banger, but he carries enough power to stop most heavyweights.
And when he boxes sensibly, like he did against Chisora, he isn't easy to hit, some very good fighters haven't been able to get near him. If he loses his head and starts rushing in, he's there to be hit, but at long range it'll take a very good fighter to get to him on a regular basis.

Jay Deas seems like a really good person for Deontay to have around from what I've read/seen, he doesn't have an ego (brought in Breland to assist), understands that there is still a lot of work to do and has a great foundation as an amateur coach.

Fury for me. I believe that Wilder boxes a bit scared & he will certainly have his jab taken away with Furys hight. So Fury W SD12 for me.

Comments on Fury that he doesnt have power are laughable. Thats why he stopped chisora while Klitschko COULDN'T..
Anyway you all forget that Wilder has a very average chin. Fury will outbox him quite easy

Hopefully this will make the division much more interesting as long as Wilder is not over protected. We have the chance to have some exciting 50-50 fights.
Remember though the Klits are still leagues ahead of Wilder and the chasing back, which is why their reign has been a touch boring because the rest of the world are just not competitive.
