Interesting matchup between two super-heavyweights. Wilder says he wants the fight.

What are your thoughts and predictions?

Wilder floored durable Stiverne. Furys chin has never been good. I think it would be a Wilder night.

Said on British forum in America Wilder by KO as Tyson Trainer/Uncle can't come over and without him Tyson won't be controlled ie The Steve Cunningham fight.

In the UK I'd fancy Tyson in points if he avoids the right hand of Wilder.

Very good fight.

Why can't his uncle come over?

I think he has a record, although it dates from quite a while back the Americans are strict on "moral turpitude"

I think this is a pretty 50/50 fight & I'd probably be switching my pick up til the night of the fight.

If anything goes right in boxing (which it never does, but maybe this time lol) there could be an epic HW situation with Deontay vs Tyson vs Anthony over the next several years. Maybe even get a new HW trilogy out this somewhere.

Didn't Tyson Fury get dropped HARD by Steve Cunningham?

What would Wilder do to him? Oh wait, Fury is a Brit so he wins. Yeah that's it.

Wilder caves Fury's face in with the types of shots he was hitting Stiverne with.

Would Fury beat Stiverne or does he suck now that Wilder wiped the floor with him?

One thing Wilder does better than Fury is get the hell out of the way. He's a very good athlete for a heavyweight. Fury is big and plodding. I'm guessing Stiverne would find him easier to find - and hit.

In some ways, Fury - Wilder is similar to Wilder - Stiverne, but in other ways it's similar to Valuev - Haye. Fury has the height and reach going on, plus he uses it, which basically nullifies all three of the attributes that Wilder best exploited against Stiverne. So in that sense, Fury would be playing the boxer role that Wilder played against Stiverne. But Wilder is also clearly faster than Fury, so he would be a very game opponent while playing the smaller man role. I think this match-up is wrong for Fury, due to speed, so I imagine Wilder probably wins it.

Even though Fury is a more complete boxer he doesn't hit that hard. That give Wilder a chance to land some of his big rights. Would be great to see battle of jabs as Fury switches stances as well. Unfortunately, I have no faith in seeing this in a near future. I think Klitschko fighting either of them is more likely.

I would favor both Wilder and Stiverne over Fury. Stiverne by late KO, Wilder by early KO.

Thats why he RTD'd Chisora while Vitali with 87% KO ratio couldn't

He has power to stop opponents with sustained punching over several rounds, not a 1 punch KO power.

Fury is B level. very little boxing skills , mild power for a giant, and a glass jaw --see the Cunningham fight.

Wilder absolutely destroys him within 2 rounds . no question

I see it as an interesting match-up. Could go either way, in my opinion. I think Fury could have done just about the same to Stiverne. His bout with Chisora wasn't much different, really. I do favor Fury in the trash-talking department, however.

I feel as if Povetkin deserves a shot more than anyone else.

Wo wo wo.. If Fury has "very little boxing skills" than Wilder has next to none! The way he throws is power shots is one step away from windmilling at times. He's definitely got more power then Fury and has the ability to KO him as Fury's chin is no where near Stiverne's but Wilder doesn't seem to have the best of chins either.

Fury has a big mouth but isn't exactly frothing at the mouth to get Wilder in the ring. He said he wants to fight wilder "one day", but after he beats Hammer, then Wlad. He said he will then beat Wilder (in 3 or 4 fights) to unify all the belts.

In reality, according to his plan, it looks like him vs Wilder is very unlikely in the next two years unless he beats Wlad.

Fury's mouth is writing checks he knows his body can't cash.

Not sure it was particularly hard, I think he was leaning back and it toppled him over. However, Cunningham was a light hitting Cruiser, so it certainly needs to be taken into consideration.

I think this is a tough one to predict. Fury was impressive against Chisora, and absolutely outclassed him. Wilder is a completely different prospect, buy Fury did show some good boxing skills, and didn't just look like a tall guy. I think he could make Wilder look silly at the beginning of the fight, and would keep him at bay with the jab, so it is partly down to how patient Deontay can be. If he stays in the fight and waits for an opening, I can see Fury going down.

For this reason I have gone Wilder KO, probably in the 2nd half of the fight.

Neither wants to fight Wlad, and this could be a big money fight. Translation boxing fans will likely see it.

Who wins? Hard to say. I'd favor Wilder by a small margin, but only because he's the better puncher.

Obviously you live in a parallel dimension: if that wasn't "particularly hard" I'd not fvcking want to see the state of someone decked "hard".

Fury is a very underrated boxer. He is quick as well. I have every confidence he will be a Heavyweight Champ very soon.

He'll beat Wilder.

Fury is good. But he got sent down by a cruiserweight. He is there to be hit and he uses his size well to help him win fights. Not only do I feel Wilder beats Fury, but he beats Wlad too. Go ahead and call me crazy, but I believe Wlad's chin is more suspect than Wilder's. And Wlad will not enjoy such a reach advantage to keep Wilder away from him as he has his former foes.

It doesn't matter if Wilder has a suspect chin or not, Wlad hits plenty hard enough to stop fighters with decent chins. I would want Wilder to win going in, but right now I think Wlad is just better than him.
