Ive been reading a few bits about the MBC seeing as theres more shows popping up and one is scheduled soon in Nottingham which is a first (they have been previously in Mansfield but not actually in Nottingham)

Ive got a few questions that have been puzzling me a bit.

Firstly, if a boxer turns pro with MBC, just purely by choice not due to a failed brain scan or anything, such as the manager/promoter had a good relationship with the boxer from his amateur days so a bit of loyalty was there, he turned pro with MBC, would that then disqualify him from attaining a BBBoC license in future ? and if not is there any examples of this or could the board basically be a bit awkward and refuse just for the principle of it.

Secondly, Ive seen a few MBC shows in the results section on their own page and here with just one or two bouts taking place, Surely thats unlikely ??? so what are they doing ? are they having unlicensed fights as undercard bouts or something ? i thought i heard recently that a show had unlicensed bouts as "exhibitions" on the undercard, but i cant be sure as i didnt pay too much attention at the time due to not having any particular interest at that time .

Finally, Ive seen promoters listed as referees or judges on other promoters events, surely thats a huge conflict of interest there isnt it ?


Any answers to these questions or opinions etc etc is all greatly appreciated, as i know a couple of lads who have been approached by a promoter recently and its caught my attention even more so now that theres a show in Nottingham as the two lads i know that got spoken to by the promoter live on the border of Nottingham/Derby, so it would mean they are more likely to now go for it.

Edit : in addition, can foreign boxers come over and box on MBC shows without any problems ? eg could a promoter bring Golovkin over for an MBC (assuming the money was there to do so)

Slightly off topic but Boxrec don't seem to consider bouts fought under the KBF banner as sanctioned in Korea yet they'd be similar to the MBC over here. A little bit on consistency would be nice...

yes according to their medical forms, but i know its not as strict as the BBBoC hence a couple of boxers being turned down by the board by accepted by MBC.

But as for the undercard unlicensed lads id guess not.

Licenses are cheaper though.

(1) The BBB of C would not License a fighter who is licensed with someone else, unless they first cancel with the other governing body, one of my fighters came back to the UK from American, the board would not re-new his license, without first making sure he was not licensed in America by another body. I don't think the board would have an issue with a fighter licensing with them who has been with the MBC before and cancelled with the MBC, as long they pass the normal requirements.

(2) The MBC can do what like regarding their own shows, putting unlicensed, kick boxing or whatever on the undercard is down to their own rules, not the boards, I know they have had a show with disabled boxers geared to take part on it, don't know if it happened in the end though.

(3) With regards to Promoters Judging or being refs on other promoters shows, it would not be a problem ,unless it was their own fighters, can't see them allowing that.
