Anybody bothering?

Anthony Johsua is out injured. We still got the Kevin Mitchell fight. The undercard is a bit wank.

I aint got Sky. Wondering if there is worth a pub visit. Probably not.

I'm glad us fighters put our lives on the line so that arm chair fans like u can criticise us & call the show wank u hav no respect 4 the sport what's so ever

I don't think the undercards wank its actually quite well matched (surprising for a Matchroom show).

I don't have Sky. Might wonder down the pub for it. Or kidnap somebody's living room that does have Sky.

It's a shame AJ got injured but all in all I don't think the card is that bad, the Mitchell fight should be good as Estrada looks like a handful, a couple 50-50 scraps on the undercard too.
The only real criticism I would have would be Ryders opponent, he really needs a better test at this stage of his career

My local closes at 11pm on Saturday, and the card ends at 11.30pm. There's a pub I like slightly less round the corner that stays open to midnight. Might catch the majority in my local, then pop round for the end of the card elsewhere.

Then again, may crash at my parents. I'd drink less.

Godoy holds a win over Jorge Sebastian Heiland. (The man who stopped Macklin in November last year.)

Godoy looks a bit chinny, but with a underrated dig on him. It could be a fun fight, by accident and not design.

What happened to Ryder fighting Sherrington ? ( Sorry if this is public knowledge, Ive been away) This is the second time more of a testing opponent has been named and changed (Khomitsky) seems a little unlucky / odd ?? if there is again issues forcing the fight to be cancelled maybe Ryder just has Furys luck.

So Matchroom get stick if they put on a card full of bigger names in 80/20 fights and then they get stick for putting on a card with a couple of 50/50s and 60/40s but not enough big names

Pretty much sums it up and I'v mentioned it before. Still at least now with Frankie Gavin signing we are 1 step closer to Gavin v Skeete 2 which so many people rave about.

Fair point. That was probably just me.

Truth be told, I think we'd all rather watch this than ones full of mismatches like Clev vs Bellew.

Do all the pubs around you always show the boxing then? If so you're very lucky - my locals tend to only show either football or Sky Sports News (on mute!).

Definitely lucky if they are showing it considering it will be on at 10pm on a Saturday night.

Fella, you're looking at it from the wrong perspective. Paying punters (whether through buying tickets or pay TV) have a right to comment on whether they are getting value for money from a show. It's criticism of the promoters, not the boxers.

A pub near me has bOxnotion on and all ppvs. Football is on different screens. They even make their own posters for the window for the likes of Saunders-Junior. I think it was deadpan I directed there when he was working up here. I know at least five pubs that showed that fight and would say the majority showed Froch-Groves.

Im going down some good 50 50 fights on involving up and coming prospects.People do like to make statements without really looking at what they are commenting on

having gone to the last O2 card and enjoyed the Boylan-Goodjohn and Martin & Hibbert fights, I think those 2 fights are going to be very watchable - hardly 'wank'

Not specifically, but you can often get it on if you walk in and ask. allegedly is impossible to find in pubs by me, but if it's on Sky Sports, then you should be okay.

A few years back, I walked into a pub on a Friday night and said; "Can you put Sky Sports 1 on? I want to watch the boxing." They did, and I sat and watched it. That was just some Friday Fight Night show that I fancied watching. Not a World Championship fight or anything.

You have to know what you're doing. It near knackered me a couple of years back when all the pubs were getting those dodgy European stream channels to show the Premier League games. Nowhere had Sky Sports any more, but fortunately a lot of the pubs got it back. The pub next door to me is good like that, as it tends to be a workplace pub so you get a lot of business week day lunch and evenings, but tends to be empty on a Saturday night. If I walk in and ask, they barstaff would probably appreciate the company.

Go there 5pm most weeknights and it's fairly busy. It's the busiest pub in town early evening Friday. Go in there Saturday, and it's just as likely to be you and the barmaid. They installed Sky Sports last May, so I can't imagine any problems with them putting whatever channel I want on. Also, there's a pub round the corner with Sky Sports for Plan B.

Don't go looking in pubs up your local high street. They'll be packed with people going onto clubs, and won't be interested in showing sports. Find a pub that's down a side-street, or away from the busier end of town. One that won't be having bands or DJs, and won't be too full but will have Sky Sports. They'd probably be happy to change the channel if you ask.

It's finding allegedly that's fornicating impossible.

I can find it in five minutes in York. You're in London! It's knowing your pubs that counts, I know literally every pub in York.

I'm talking about pubs in Croydon, rather than London. Telling me to know every pub in London would be like telling you to know every pub in Yorkshire.

I think I could probably find a few pubs in London with B'Nation, but it'd possibly involve being on the train/tube from one side of London to another. I'm not public transporting it for an hour around London just on the off chance of finding a pub that has a specialist boxing channel.

I did find one that's fifteen minutes on the train from me, up the road from where I work that advertises having it. You never know, might try that.

If Ryder beats Godoy, it would be the best win on his record I suspect.

It's nice to see some well matched fights, but it brings up another issue. The better fighters usually end up in easy fights against Argentinians from the weight below, then at lower levels they're more willing to put them into riskier fights. What people really want to see is the big names in competitive fights.
