Seems like (according to boxrec's schedule) that Lamon Brewster is making his first defence of his title against former Danny Williams victim Kali Meehan. Both are Don King fighters so the fight makes sense in that aspect, however, we have had some unworthy challengers recently (Golota and soon to be McCline). However, Meehan might rank up as the most undeserving of all time.

Having said that, Brewster is poor and Meehan could cause an upset - I would certainly tip Williams to beat them both.

Also on the bill in an intriguing contest between Corey Spinks and Miguel Angel Gonzales, I feel particularly happy about this because I suggested this fight to Spinks' co-manager. However, that was before his victory over Judah. I thought it would be a fairly easy nights work against a big name somewhat passed his prime. However, apparently Gonzales is looking in good form recently (against low level opponents) and is a very underated fighter. It might be alot trickier than I first thought - all in all a good match up.

I didn't realize Danny's the only man to beat Meehan (it took him 32 seconds). In hindsight, it's a really good win for the Brixton puncher. Meehan ain't bad.

Brewster will walk right through Meehan.

yes i have that fight on tape, that was the fight after his thriller with potter, he just had his arm fixed with screws holding it in, after the first bell williams walked up to him and hit him with a great right hook (same arm he damaged) then straight after he hit him again with the right, the ref looked like he waved it off (thats after about 20 seconds) but he counted again and waved it off, then williams beat francis next time out

that was the high point of williams career.

Meehan steps up and joins Don King and 'Voila!!!'

Same thing didn't happen when Danny signed with the shock-haird shithead!

That's the 'magic' of Don King.
