I stopped watching after 5 minutes.

Mcdonnell and the interviewer we can't see both come across as complete nobs - at the least the other interviewer who we can see had the decency to look embarrassed at some of the shite they were spouting.

Well, that's just confirmed what I've suspected for years. Jim is mental. I think he's badly restricted DeGale's career. Imagine having a pep talk every day off that idiot. The interviewer was a complete arse kisser.

The whole interview isn't about Froch (thank God), towards the end he talks a bit about his own career and that's where it gets controversial

I'll sum it up for you, lads. Froch is totally crap, Jim was invincible as long as Don King didn't tamper with the scales...

I wonder if Mac actually knew this was being recorded. It's strange how he goes into the story of the weigh in for Azumah by lowering his voice and saying it's "off the record". Surely he wouldn't have told it that way if he knew it was on tape. Plus he said it was still libelous.

To be fair to jim froch has looked bad recently i never had him in front at any point during his 2 last fights so I'd expect degale to fancy the fight.as for jim himself as a fighter he was unlucky to be around with nelson and Mitchell but Jim lacked a punch at world level and that was his dow fall

I agree I don't think he's the best out there for degale, who is a big talent.

I haven't heard the interview but I agree about Froch and I think it's fair to question his recent form. The wins and heavy stoppage in the second fight may obscure it somewhat, but I thought he boxed relatively poorly in both fights with Groves and I didn't have him ahead at any point during their 15 completed rounds either.

Invincible, apparently.

I can't be harsh on Jimmy Mac here. I haven't shared a ring with 2.5 atg's (2.0 in their primes) without disgracing myself.

If I had, I would probably be a complete dick about it at least once in my life.
