IS THE TIME RIGHT FOR RIOS TO PICK................

Robert Garcia has been touting JMM's name as the next opponent for Brandon Rios but I think it may be a case of a little too much too soon for Rios, they're getting all high and mighty because of what Bam Bam was able to do to Alvarado and thinking that means he has a good chance of beating JMM.
I don't buy into that theory, Rios still looked like he just comes straight ahead and is made for a Counterpuncher and with the kind of sleepytime KO power JMM has that may be all she wrote for Brandon.
Your thoughts on this, is Rios ready or is JMM just ready for the taking (dude is over 40 now).

My thoughts are that I hate Brandon Rios, and hate even more that he thinks he's a top fighter. He sucks. They will match him ultra carefully the rest of the way against guys who will stand right in front of him so as to not completely expose his rudimentary boxing skills. He is completely exposed against any sort of world level fighter with movement and some semblance of speed.

And yes Marquez will beat him b/c he is such a better fighter, regardless of movement. JMM has the PED's to make up for the age issue.

What makes you say JMM has PEDs???

If jmm is still himself he wins this one.

JMM loves to fight guys like Rios who come foward......he eats em up. Just like James Toney, world class movers r the type of fighters that will beat JMM.

the version of rios in alvarado III was not stationary. he moved his head and stepped to the side when he
was done punching, and finished combos with the uppercut. he did come forward and was aggressive
but he let his hands go. i give you that khan is much faster and runs a lot, but that version of rios
would even give khan a hard time. khan was hittable by collazo and diaz, but looked much better against
alexander. that last version of rios would tear collazo and diaz up and would probably beat alexander
and we all know what would happen if rios caught up with khan. that last version of rios v mattysse or
provo or thurman would make for a brutal fight. as far as top rank opponents go, bradley would school
rios and jmm might be a little more competitive but i would still pick jmm unless age catches up with jmm.
i doubt rios could make 140 anymore, but his loss to alvarado for the wbo 140 was a really close fight, imo,
and i think the wbo should give rios a shot at that title again vs algieri or provo or maybe broner if he wants it.

Did you see him fight Miguel Acosta at 135, Acosta seemed to have speed and lots of movement(Rios won), maybe Rios wasn't able to carry the same level of advantages up to the higher weights?

Diddy should think about just having a ready-made answer to copy and paste for this one.

If Diddy comes with some BS he's going to put other fighters out there who are suspect of the same thing I think he may be accusing Marquez of. Again mind you, Diddy has no proof whatsoever, none.

JMM being on PEDS was a claim by the fanatic Pac fan base, that had no facts behind it. JMM had offered to take any test that Manny would take, then team Manny dropped it. After getting KTFO, they brought it back up. Sour grapes and pathetic excuses is all that is.
JMM has not refused to take any test. Manny has. No one has any clear evidence to prove either one has cheated.

I have to say I've been a JMM fan from the off and I think he wss juicing over the last couple of years. Just the sheer physical transformation of si man pushing 40.
If course, I may be guilty of getting caught up in today's PED suspicious world but I can't help but think that.
Saying that, I'm not saying he's completely aware. He wouldn't be the first boxer to be duped by a camp nutritionist.

Am I the only one who considers Rios a C+ fighter?

If you don't think JMM is on PEDs you're either an idiot, naive or both. No man turns into a muscle bound he-man in his late 30's after a full career of being undefined and average looking. My eyes and brain are the only proof I need. And please don't spare me the never failed a test crap. There's a reason piss tests catch basically no one and blood tests catch a lot of people. The piss tests are too simplistic and beneath the curve.
Why do you think andre berto and Lamont peterson passed 60+ piss tests between them and each failed the only blood test they ever took?
It ain't rocket science. If combat sports could afford to randomly blood test every fighter we wouldn't even have a sport. The large majority of the guys would be suspended. Believe that.

Besides his new found power in flattening Manny- which more than one observer started pointing finger at PED use ( larry merchant for one)
How about the acne all over his chest? I don't think people get that from drinking urine

So in essence whatever you stated applies to Manny Pacquiao as well.

Never said he wasn't juicing. This thread wasn't about him tho.

I was thinking several fighters fall into this category Manny included.

HGH and testosterone are a bigger problem these days than roids. Roid use is small scale. HGH and testosterone use is RAMPANT because it basically doesn't show up in piss tests. Only in blood tests, which are rarely ever administered.

EPO is what makes them fight non-stop full strength all 12 rounds without getting tired

You do realize that testosterone and "roids" in most cases can be the same thing right?

I remember when Rios was at 135 and I was saying he was very limited, and some of the experts here tore me to shreds.
Rios is just getting a little confidence again. It would be a career destroyer to put him in with JMM. I'd prefer Rios/Ortiz ... for once I'm in it for the drama.
