I would love to fight Roy if anyone knows contacts I would be interested in fighting him Galen Brown 816-273-6746 I know people are going to think I am crazy but I have enough time to get ready if he wins he wins but with enough time I will be ready and give 100% as I did with Jordan Shimmel who is ranked above him

Why is Roy still boxing? Stupid, stupid, stupid. He's been a pro for 26 years. Time to retire Roy.

Man ya'll hyping the sh!t outta that. Respect. Sorta ironic with such a well crafted web page & local media explosion you'd forget the "a" lol.

Personally I wish Roy would just retire. There is nothing accomplishable in boxing for him except further physical damage & I don't wanna see that.

Yep & he won't be able to remember winning the first one probably either lol.

Sumo wrestling & boxing don't got a whole lot in common. And one more thing they don't have in common is when a yokozuna level guy starts losing matches & not winning a tournaments for a long period of time, they retire to not tarnish their name or the yokozuna title. Boxers will rape their grandmothers for one more shot at the "big time". Its embarrassing for the sport as a whole & just sad imho.

after beating ruiz and then beating tarver, obviously in hindsight, that would have been the
perfect time to clean up the cruiser titles. looking back, he wasted 4 years still contending at
lightheavy and tried to contend at cruiser when it was too late. he might be able to get a
shot at a major title but don't think he can win one unless for old time's sake the the wbc
decides to strip drozd (and get sued into bankruptcy a la rocchigiani) in order to give roy
another title.

If only he'd retired after beating Ruiz. Some people were actually calling him the greatest fighter of all time after that win. :(

Thats crazy to think about, but definitely true. When you retire has so much impact on how your "all time greatness". If Rocky Marciano had kept fighting & lost to Floyd Patterson & Sonny Liston he'd probably be nowhere near as hyped as he is.
