The Gomez versus Kamegai on March 20th...

Good matchup. Kamegai will keep coming all night if the Guerrero fight(and the general trend of Japanese fighters doing that) is any indication and he has a solid punch, but is pretty limited. I look for The Gomez to outbox him in a good action fight.

He should show himself to be fan-friendly and be introduced as:

Alfonso "The Gomez" Gomez!

I can't remeber how that name got started. Wasn't it Diamond Weapon? It was around the same time that action pics of Floyd were being posted with the caption: "Money Shot!"

This is how you matchmake right here. Neither guy will be a world champion most likely but if this fight turns out the way i think it will, they could make great money with 2 more of these fights against each other. Excited for this one.

I've loved Gomez ever since the very first episode of Contender when he stepped up to the plate to beat Manfredo and I've been a fan ever since, funnily enough I didn't enjoy watching his biggest fights,I didn't like watching him recieve beatings from Cotto and Alvarez and it wasn't nice watching him end the career of Gatti but yeah what a fun fighter and seems a gent

I wish he'd stayed retired though,he's never gonna achieve anything other than being a name for someone to beat up and I think Kamegai will do just that,it should be action packed I'm sure but eventually Yoshihiro's relentless onslaught will break him down in the middle rounds

Kamegai is very limited. Just keeps plodding forward. All the effort in the world but not a lot of quality. Gomez on his way to a wide points decision.

(Unless we get ridiculous scoring which seems to be a regular occurrence these days).
