Promote the Upcoming Terrestrial TV Fights!

I really feel there's a great opportunity to put boxing on the mainstream map again with the 2 upcoming cards to be shown on terrestrial TV this month. Both headline fights should be very attractive to casual fans - GGG because he's an all-action KO artist fighting a British underdog, Frampton because he's N. Irish & will be fighting in front of a passionate crowd creating a great atmosphere.

But asking around in work today, it was clear that almost nobody knew about either show. This got me thinking - it would be good if the posters on here do everything we can to promote the fights by whatever means available. Tell your friends, tell your family, e-mail your colleagues, post it on Facebook, tweet it on Twitter, do whatever you can to raise awareness.

Let's get the British public talking boxing again! :bag:

:TU: good idea mate.

Saw ITV advertised Framton twice during Champions League last night, hopefully plenty people saw that

ITV crew confirmed as Mark Pougatch, Al Bernstein, Richie Woodhall, Bernard Dunne, David Haye & Ron McIntosh. ITV4 from 7:30 with the undercard

I don't watch enough ITV to see if they have been promoting it, but hopefully Barry had it in contract that they had to trailer it big time...makes sense to all concerned, but you never know with some of these dunderheads in charge....

Imagine if someone like Simon Cowell's was promoting Frampton, running prime time promos and docs of his back story, life, family etc....then when everyone tuned in and saw an epic fight where Carl wins, he would have instant world wide stardom.

I'm sure he still does stuff for bbc radio 5 , but I'd be suprised if ITV doesn't tie him down for the future , If Al Bernstien is doing the ITV job I doubt if he'd be covering 5'S boxing , still wondering who will be doing the main commentery for the GGG/Murray fight ?

I've already turned the majority of my mates and half the lads at work into boxing fans.

I think that will be a good line up to be honest. I know not the most important aspect of the fight but I also think its good Buffer will be there to add to the event those sort of things are not the biggest aspect obviously but they do help the hype.

Listed to the 5live boxing show yesterday and they mentioned that both fights were on terrestrial TV and what a good thing this was etc.

Really hope both do big numbers.

There was an Ad in the Metro on the train to work today (GGG v Murray) - hopefully that helps a great deal. It's on Demand 5 aswell which will further it also.

It's a much better fight than Abraham and Plodder
