It's going to be a great show.

I would not be surprised if the O2 show got cancelled

frank said he would get 20000 there

Great news and a fantastic bit of exposure for Whyte.

I wouldnt be surprised if he wins and looks good doing so then he signs with a big promoter. I cant see it being Matchroom, but maybe allegedly, although his stable is pretty heavyweight heavy.

Cancel a whole show at 9 days notice?

Why wouldn't Matchroom sign him?

They are promoters, they want th best british talent and Whyte looks a good prospect. If anything the Joshua history should have Matchroom even more keen to sign him. If it can be built into a decent domestic tear up, why not have 100% of the pie?

My understanding was that Whyte and Joshua didnt get on, although I may have completely misread that, but if that is the case then I doubt Hearn would want to upset his Golden Goose AJ.

Its exactly the same situation as degale vs groves. AJ might have won a gold medal but Whyte will claim he wasent even the best in Heavyweight London. It would be a massive fight with the skysports promotion PR machine. If this fight does not happen it purely down to hearn not wanting to risk AJ as he knows Whyte is a threat. Cue hearn saying "Hes way above British level, no need to make the fight", when hes actually fought zero top british fighters.

Thing is, scratch even slightly below the surface and its plainly evident that Whyte shouldn't have been fighting at novice level when he boxed Joshua. The fallout of him operating at that level seems to be the reason why there is a cloud over his am days.

I'm looking forward to this bill. I've been over for Framptons last few fights and the atmosphere is like nothing else I've experienced. Can't make it over next week but can't wait to see how ITV do with their coverage. It'll be good to see how Whyte gets on and I like the look of Marco McCulloch.

The atmosphere will be incredible no doubt, and the main event is tasty, but the undercard fights are nothing to write home about so far are they?
