To me it didn't seem like Murray's punches bothered him at all.

He landed two hooks back to back late on and Golovkin didn't even blink. Murray isn't a banger but he's not feather fisted, Golovkin's chin is impressive.

I don't think anyone likes body shots, but I didn't see any visible wear and tear from Murray's.

like he needs the practice lol , i'm sure he half winced from one of the body shots !

Right, Canelo and Chavez are so dangerous ! Why are they avoiding GGG then ?

Ward is good body puncher and if ggg moved to super I'm sure he'd take it. They both can have a warm up then go at it.

Just watched the fight - I thought he took the body shots just fine, more of a concern was his defensive lapses - he has a good enough chin to get away with them, but it could get him into trouble against a puncher like Lemieux and the bigger guys at 168lb. I still think GGG vs Chavez Jr is an intriguing fight due to Jr's great chin, good power and body punching ability - I'd expect it to go the distance.

Golovkin is something special. He invents punches. He comes down overhands as if they are mirror image uppercuts. Never seen anything like it before.

Some of Murrays bodyshots were strong and well placed although it didn't seem to put any type of serious dent in GGG.
Got to give Murray some respect for his performance, he took some brutal punches but also gave as good as he got sometimes.
GGG seemed a bit cautious early in the fight but got into his groove the further it went, toward the middle rounds I felt it was just a matter of time before the accumulation of punches would catch up to Murray.
But to Murrays credit he was incredibly strong and brave to go as long as he did, GGG will no doubt come out of this looking good and now it's a matter of who can possibly stand up to this kind of onslaught.

None of Murrays punches troubled Golovkin one bit. At times Golovkin just seemed happy to let Murray do his stuff then once he'd finished Golovkin just continued to hunt him down.

The fight went pretty much exactly how I'd expected it to, to be honest.

Frankly, I did not expect Murray to be so tough. I thought he would be another Macklin or Geale. Best wishes to Martin in his further career. If he fights every fight like this one, he could grab a belt pretty soon.

Murray has always been tough as teak. It's probably nigh on impossible to stop him certainly at middleweight. Golovkin is almost a superhuman machine. What amazes me more than anything is that it just literally doesn't bother him taking shots. He doesn't move his head, he doesn't move his body, he literally just lets people connect and doesn't so much as blink. His chin and his conditioning are probably even move impressive than his power.

The only way to beat Golovkin is to dance, jab, move, get in / out, speed. Golovkin is deceptively quick at cutting down the ring so it's going to take an exceptionally quick, slick fighter to stand any chance.

Murray did get gift decisions twice against Khomitsky and looked less than impressive in his previous fight (against Spada). He seems to lack motivation when fighting weaker opposition.

I disagree - I think that's one way to beat Golovkin, but it needs to be coupled with physical strength and the ability to tie GGG up, push him back and fight him on the inside. Ward is the guy to do it, if he's still the fighter he was before the lay-off. I would want GGG to win, though, because he's by far the more entertaining and, for me, likable fighter.

Ward isn't mobile enough to beat Golovkin P4P. It's all very well people trying to back Golovkin up but they forget about his ring craft which the untrained eye often fails to recognise. You will not outstrength Golovkin unless you are SIGNIFICANTLY bigger. Is Ward big enough? I have my doubts, the bigger you are generally the slower you are as well and the last thing you want to be against Golovkin is slow (relatively)

Yeah, those low blows had Golovkin out on his feet.

I know what TS means when Murray went downstairs GGG had a weary posture lowered his arms in indication that they were troubling him.

But with that said he had nothing to fear in Murray who couldnt crack an egg if he tried.

Is there anybody who likes to take shots to a side of the body ??? They did not affect Golovkin's performance, so the trouble was minimal.

Murray was in fantastic shape and was Golovkin's biggest test - it's good to pick faults and look at weaknesses but he walked through everything Murray had. In boxing, shots are going to land.
