Impressive win over a tough Andriy Rudenko! Even the more impressive seeing as he was coming of a 9 month lay off due to a blood disorder!

The kids still only 20 has racked up 15 wins and is now ranked 63 according to BoxRec!

Myself, I would like to see him in there with a well known British name, to give him some real exposure! Someone like Sexton, Skelton or Sprott (preferably Sexton) main-eventing Glow, Bluewater on Channel 5!

Perhaps even Richard Tower, although a bit risky maybe!

Out of the names you have mentioned I think Towers or Sexton would be good for him. Nothing to gain from fighting Sprott or Skelton. I like how they are guiding Hughie. He's only 20 like you said and he wont fully mature for another 5 years yet. I'd keep him below European level for a while yet. Get him steady fights and international sparring.

I'd love to see him derail the AJ 'stay humble and hungry and humble and hungry and humble and hungry' bandwagon in a couple of years.

Sexton would be fine for him.

Not watched his fight but will have done him a world of good. I rate him but again he is only a baby for a Heavyweight at 20.

No rush what so ever, comes across as a really good guy and has a good trainer in his dad.

At the rate he's going, it's going to be hard to keep him at the lower levels but credit to the team for the way they are guiding him. Once he does step up, I think he'll be more than ready. Doing a very good apprenticeship.

I know not much of a comparison but Wilder has only done 70 rounds, David Price 66 rounds - Hughie is all ready on 62 rounds.

that stat just shows he lacks power in the division compared to the others mentioned

Tough comparison though, as you allude to. It's as simple as Price and Wilder both hitting like a mule and Hughie not being able to punch his way out a paper bag perhaps?

Lacking in strength conditioning certainly. More naturally talented than both though.

If Hughie developes pop as he grows into a man (well, more of a man really) he could be incredibly dangerous.

The manner of the win by what ive heard is the most impressive thing, Browne comes highly talked about and went to the wire with Rudenko, and Hughie has schooled the chap.

Sexton, Lewison, Chisora, Towers, Cornish & Whyte should all be on there radar. Do the domestic route the correct way against the correct opponents. Plenty of different styles and questions to answer in those names.

I think its set in stone for Joshua to take a similar Trajectory to that of Khan (apart from the splattering) and bypass British/ European to an extent.

I'd love to see him fight for the English title in his next few fights, not straight away but be leaning that way just because it would give him that push mentally, so he knows what its like to win a title and have something to defend and have a little more pressure on him while he builds his experience up more.

Remind me, what was Mike Tyson doing at 20? You can't automatically assume that he hasn't matured yet and needs to be kept down. Tyson's best days were behind him at 25.

Fury is a good talent, but he's an obscure sorta character. He will keep winning fights, but I think it's very unlikely that he will ever go too far up the rankings.

Travellers mature early, generally speaking. Live like men from the age of 14 in a lot of cases, married with kids before 20 and physically they go downhill quicker than most. As I say this is generally speaking but it's true. Their life expectancy is ridiculously low for todays age, something like 60

everyone has to be taken as an individual though. I agree that Hughie doesn't look physically mature yet but only a few years ago he was like an beanpole, very, very skinny, and has since added a lot of weight but it doesn't look like it's all good weight. Always looks fairly soft. I think anyone expecting him to suddenly mature in to a hulking beast will be waiting a long, long time.

I like his skills though. Been a little up and down so far but he is only young and hopefully the downs were down to his illness, which I hope is history now.

Using Mike Tyson as an example for what's to be expected as normal is ridiculous.

Unless you live in a town where every man has a tattooed face and has served three years for rape and appeared in a major film that begins with H and end in angover.

If that's the case then carry on.

Interesting point about travellers. Tyson Fury looks 45 already

Lucas Browne just got a WBA title shot based on his performance against Hughies last opponent.

So where did that place him with the WBA?

It's Klitschko Time!

Hughie has talent but won't reach full strength until he is 25 they need to make sure he isn't rushed something travellers tend to do.

Gary Stretch stopped Collins in a round in his only and last senior amateur contest or something didn't he?
