how this fight goes and who wins it ?

Frampton will make his 1st defense of his IBF title against Avalos. Chris Avalos seems to be a tough-durable fighter with good chin and power, so I assume this will be an action-packed fight. :box: :TU:

It will be a good test for Frampton. Avalos has never been stopped, losing only two SDs. He is near the top of the division. Likely a legit, entertaining fight.

I haven't seen that much of Avalos, but I don't think he's anything exceptional. To me Carl has the edge in this one, Carl on points I'd say. Should be a good fight too.

Avalos has no power thus Avalos can't win. He's not getting a decision there.

Yeah I also reckon he's a top contender @ sbw. Should be a good fight.

Should be a good fight
Strange how 122lbs has become a bottleneck at the top. A handful of decent contenders there now like Avalos, Wake, Servania, Galahad and Pagara

This division is stacked. Its a pity that Rigo is ducked and Santa Cruz ducks / is overprotected.

Wake Vs Rigo is in the works apparently, that is one that interests me a lot more than it should...

mcguigan would never have taken this fight if he thought frampton was in any danger of loseing
i noticed in the kiko fight the body is a weak point in framptons armour

He has power and that's his only chance, the only reason he isn't getting a decision is because there's no way he outboxes Frampton

Belfast fighters have actually been robbed in Belfast before, not that that is going to happen to Frampton of course :OhYes:

as for this weakness to the body, I havn't seen it

Unfortunatly Avalos has nothing for frampton he's not a power punched which would be hid only chance if winning.

Frampton will continue his stay at home run no way he comes to the states and faces any real comp.

So Frampton beats the world champion then in his first defence takes on the number 1 contender and he is not fighting any real comp? Bar Rigo and Santa Cruz where is the comp in the states? Avalos? From what I can see the rest of the comp is in Japan.

Avalos does not have power. He definitely doesn't have power at world level. Not sure what you're talking about or what fights you have seen. I don't care if he knocked down a couple cab drivers.

In Chris Avalos two defeats there is a case for a grievance.
When Avalos fought Chris Martin in 2010 Martin looked like he was heavier by a noticeable margin.
Martin deserved the decision but I feel the weight advantage played a role in the outcome and it wasn't in any way totally one sided.
In 2011 Jhonatan Romero may have squeaked a decision and the fight was relatively close, nevertheless I still thought Avalos had done enough to get the nod.
Avalos has beaten a number of rugged tough opponents on his way among them Drian Francisco in 2013. Avalos fought fairly well and had more than enough in him to win a comfortable decision.
When I look Avalos I can see he knows his way around the ring partly due to his 104 fight amateur career, he's always in good condition focused and well prepared for the fights I've seen him in.
Among the positives about his style are he carries a fairly good punch although he's not what you would consider to be a legitimate power puncher, he has an explosive two handed attack and so far his chin looks solid .
Of his weaknesses his defence and vulnerability to single lead punches is noticeable, his jab although thrown in an acceptable manner is used as a range finder rather than having any kind of ability to inflict physical damage or dictate the pace of a fight.

Frampton by late stoppage.
