We always knew Murray was tough but he's now proved it beyond doubt. Froch has got to be there too. Coyle showed immense heart against Brizuela but that's probably not enough to put him in this category due to the level of opponent. Who else currently can genuinely be put in this category?

Burns? Fighting for half a fight with a broken jaw when you're clearly not winning is an incredible effort.

Fair point. He probably gets overlooked because he comes across so nice and unassuming.

Are we talk past boxers or current? If pass fighters then Nigel Benn for me. That McClellan fight was the most brutal fight I've seen from both sides.

Should of been over in rd 1 really but Benn showed so much heart, he just wasn't going to lose.

Wayne McCullough was one of the toughest. Taking the power shots from of Erik Morales and responding with the Ali shuffle. The beating he took at the hands of Scott Harrison who was a virtual welterweight by fight time stands out. Still don't know how get through that fight.
