That article reads like it took 36 hours or more for somebody to raise the alarm, is that right?

Why did he and his mate argue ? one article says the pair had a dispute, but doesnt say "with another group of men", so assume they fell out and made their seperate ways from club.

Reading the article it seems like they got into a bit of bother, legged it and got split up, not been seen since.

It's sad for his family that he's put himself in this position.

Id say he's been badly hurt by someone which could be he's mate or that he's so called mate was causing bother & fled leaving him to get a pasting?
Or he may of lost his memory which is a possibility

Pretty much confirmed locally as true unfortunately,gutted as he was a good guy,really talented junior Amateur and pro too.
