What is real reason Amir Khan will not fight Kell Brook

lets weight this up. Floyd has the WBA +WBC world title, Manny has the WBO world title and Kell the IBF world title at 147lb.
So if Khan wants a world title at his chosen weight he has to fight one of above! Floyd and Manny are booked up 2nd May and will prob have a rematch!
Floyd stated that khan would not bring the fans in, so neither PBF or Manny seem remotely interested in the Khan fight.
There is no opponent on the horizon for Khan at 147lb? So he is looking at fighting Cotto at 154 or at catch weight! for probably small $$$ in comparison, what will this prove? it sounds like he missing the boat again! Khan says no body has heard of Kell Brook and he is not in his league (well I have)
Every news article on boxing, sky sports tv and boxing publication I read is chomping at the Bit for the Khan v Brook fight. all the boxing fans in America + Britain know Kell brook made history ripping the IBF title of Shawn porter in America, they see Kell Brook along with up and coming Kieth Thurman as the future of the 147lb division, So What is it with Khan
" Money" Eddie Hearn has offered Khan $5million+Wembley stadium sell out, and a date of 13th June 2015 "before Ramadan"
He has also offered Khan a chance to win the IBF World title + the lions share of the PPV or what ever revenue it is even though he is not the champion!
the winner of a Brook v Khan fight at Wembley, would have the bragging rights + blessing of Great Britain behind them, Amir Khan or Kell Brook would be without a shadow of a Doubt the best 147ld fighter we could put up against the elite yanks! Khan or Kell would then be the main money fight available for the winner of Mayweather or paquio probably in Las Vegas around December time.
"So What is the real reason Khan Will not fight Brook" O sorry he said he would at the end of the year! which buys him 9 month and gets the press off his back in the mean time something else may pop up? My Guess is he knows Kell Brook is a very dangerous fight for him and leave him in a bad place with a loss to kell ' the fact is unless Khan steps up he runs the risk of Brook taking on a big name in summer and being the peoples champion and maybe just maybe kell gets the Mayweather fight instead of Khan. Thoughts!!

Kahn taking a while to decide what his doing, Now if Brook gets a big name over to fight, Marquez etc the more it affects Kahns "lion share" of the purse as Brook would now be very well known to the American public. All being Brook won
Seems like Kahn is screwing himself here

I'm baffled too.
Khan -v- Brook is the most natural fight in the world, yet Khan is acting as if Brook is not worthy, despite the fact that Brook is the belt holder & more seasoned & proven at 147.
Khan better put his ego back in its box, otherwise he's going to miss out on the biggest & most lucrative fights out there.

Risk/reward.

Khan knows Kell is risky fight. Good timing and technique. I think Khan knows if he were to lose to Brook (or anyone else) at this stage then he's pretty much done at the top level and can forget about May or PAC. He's been treading water fighting guys like Collazo, Diaz and Molina waiting for the big pay out and he's shot himself in the foot here. It's kinda ironic how he said the Brook fight will always be there now he's left out in the cold! I don't know if it's arrogance, reluctance or just bad advice but whatever it is it's having an adverse affect on his career.
I don't think We'll see Brook back as quickly as June unless he blasts Dan out quickly and comes through unscathed. There is only 11 weeks between the dates and he'll want to be tip top fighting Khan. Hopefully later in the year. If May v PAC is close or contentious then there will be obvious calls for a rematch so Khan won't have many other more lucrative options.

Khan schools Brook in a one sided landslide. Why he does not want to fight him is beyond me.

There is no risk to Khan as he clearly thinks he's levels above Brook and the reward is the IBF world title, but i see what your saying.

Khan knows that kell will be a tough challenge for him, he hits hard and has good timing, khan since going with Virgil hunter has paid a lot to defence but I reckon khan knows he would revert to type and get drawn into a slugfest and that plays to kell who could KO khan.
Khan wants the FM/PAC fight to get a huge payday in Vegas. He won't risk that v kell

I think the risk/reward sits well with him for this fight if the figures are true. If Khan gets £5m for fighting Brook then that is a very healthy return for him even
if he does get beat.
If Khan was to make £5m from keep busy fights, he'd probably need to fight around 5 times if it's going to be in the US. If he fought the winner of Pacquiao/Mayweather, he would struggle to get £5m in my view as he has no bargaining chips, especially as they have both been involved in 2 of the biggest PPVs in the UK and Khan hasn't. Pacquiao/Mayweather would be coming off the biggest purses and probably biggest PPV numbers of all time. If the total purse for a Khan fight was £50m, why would they even give him 10%?

It's a familiar paradox, or example of 'Khan logic', that we experienced many a time when he was coming up.
Dangerous men like Thaxton, Romanov and Murray were not in his league, he was clearly better, and so he didn't even need to fight them. And instead he fight would fight someone much worse. Again, and again, and again. He didn't need to redeem himself against Prescott because be was obviously so much better. Didn't need to rematch Garcia because he was 'winning the first 2 rounds'.
He's an odd chap. He seems to believe in himself versus Mayweather, but doesn't believe in his chin versus Brook's right hand. I think he knows what style suits him by now, and it isn't anyone with a big punch. He can't admit that, obviously, so we are treated to these absurd serpentine feats of logic, as Amir angles for his retirement payday.

Agree with ^ entirely.
And for the use of 'serpentine' -

It'll be options. Eddie won't stage a mega show at Wembley, pay Amir a seven digit purse AND him walk away with the title. Eddie will want options should Amir win and that is where they will not find common ground. Amir would want to win the title and go back to fighting in America, being paid by the big TV companies over there for headline events. Eddie would want Amir to headline sky shows for however many options he has.

I don't think brook will be a shadow of his former self , he nearly had his leg chopped off I can't imagine it would help his movement to much , as for khan not wanting to fight brook I don't think brook is that dangerous for khan his work rate is to low I just think khan doesn't want to give Kelly the payday after kell has slagged khan off for years

I think Khan views himself at Mayweather Pacquiao level while Brook is a level below (In his eyes).
He needs to be in the ring before summer though.

And a very high reward so this term doesn't apply to this fight IMO.

Fight has to happen. 55-45 split in favour of khan, no rematch clase, co promotion, khan enters the ring and is announced 2nd to make him feel like he's calling the shots. I'm sure if eddie offerd this deal khan would take it. Khan defo has more to lose, as hearn said if brook beats him he's finished, if mayweather beats him its no big deal.

If he doesn't face Brook though he loses the chance to make £5m in one fight which i can't see him doing against anyone else.
My take on it:

I just think that Amir honestly doesn't believe that Kell is in his class. Amir is (and has been) looking for fights against high-profile opposition, look at him fighting and defeating the likes of
Luis Collazo (former WBA World Champion) and
Devon Alexander (former 2-weight World Champion) - then look at him chasing fights against Floyd Myweather & Manny Pacquaio.
It's clear to see that Amir think of himself as the elite of the sport. Frankly, I would be extremely surprised if his next fight wasn't someone like Timo Bradley or Juanma Marquez.
Amir is actively seeking the BIG fights these days...

The biggest fight outside mayweather and pacman is brook. If he dosent take the fight now it will look like he's running scared/dodging similar to thaxton, murray, romanov, prescott mentioned above

Why fight Bradley for say £1mil in a 3/4 full MGM for no belt when you can fight Brook in a football stadium in England for £5mil for the IBF strap!?!? I rate Khan highly as a boxer but surely this is a no brainer now the Manny Floyd fight is happening!

Kell is ranked #4 on boxrec, only floyd, manny and JMM are above kell,
Khan is ranked # 6 with Keith Thurman at #5
So why if khan is looking for big fights is he not going after Thurman or brook? Seeing as they are higher ranked than he is, will put an impression on the winner of May 2nd if he does it well.
He is IMO worried about his chin and being caught by a big punch from a genuine welterweight. He is hiding behind his guard but eventually he will drop that and revert to type it's just a matter of time.

I've been more impressed with Khan at Welter, than any previous division to be honest.
The horrendous night he had against Diaz in Sheffield, slightly north of 140 (was it 143 or something in the end?) left me feeling he had no business at the class.
But he has really shone indeed and it would be a pick-em now I think.
Now I have to go have a little cry for writing that.

Is this really a 50k+ Wembley Stadium type contest ? I can't see this fight doing big money at all
