Lomachenko vs Rodriguez (May 2)

So apparently Vasyl's father said that Vetyeka didn't agree to the fight.
Egis Klimas said that most likely the opponent will be the #1 WBO ranked Gamalier Rodriguez.
I have a feeling that Vetyeka probably wanted more money. Plus now he is most likely going to fight Walters, so he doesn't really lose a fight for the belt.
Rodriguez is 25-2-3 and hasn't lost in 18 straight fights since 2009. Only decent win is against Orlando Cruz.
This is probably an easy fight for Lomachenko. I would expect him to fight one more time sometime in the summer before the fight with Walters in October/November.

I hate Bob Arum

Just off of his ppv undercard decisions should be enough to make you hate Arum along with any other one random corrupt thing that he's done. As soon as I heard Arum was gonna be responsible for 1/3 of this ppv I knew 1/3 of it was gonna suck whatever happens. Bob ain't met a ppv he hasn't f#cked up with his undercard.
I'd kinda like to see the top ten best & top ten worse TR promoted PPV's non-main event, but PPV televised fights TR have been responsible for. Bob is kinda notorious for bad ppv undercards at this point.
Praying Floyd surprises us with a decent TMT fight, although I'm not even sure thats something thats possible with J'Leon Love & Mickey Bey being the most likely guys involved in the fight. Really hope Floyd lifts a couple Al Haymon guys for this card to at least give us something else good that night besides the main event.
I mean at some point why even put a undercard on a great fight if its just a bs fight. Just throw the great fight as the one & only ppv fight, throw the undercard on HBO3 or Showtime Extreme or whatever to hype people to buy the PPV. Don't try f#cking me over with an hour or two of paid who gives a f#ck fights just to waste my time & f#ck me over.

Ya, not an interesting bout, although I think these types of fights could be useful to Vasyl given how inexperienced he is professionally. If I were a member of his team I would try to get him a fight after this with a better but non-elite opponent, then fight Walters (whom I favor to beat Vasyl at this point).

No question Vasyl needs experience & this fight is only going to help him long term. Good fight for Vasyl & his career, bad fight for the biggest ppv of all time.

Really leaning towards not buying this PPV. Lomachenko vs. a C-lister is the first of only 2 undercard bouts and given that the 2nd bout will be a Mayweather Promotions bout it will probably be even worse.

Yep, TMT has zero fighters worthy of being on this card, vasyl is good but I feel like ol bob could have done better also

You see the PPV coming up in the UFC,
Jones v Johnson
Weidman v Belfort
Arlovksi v Browne
and then Cerrone fighting a guy whose name I can neither remember or spell, but is highly ranked
But anyways, THATS how you do a PPV!

Very disappointing. I love how they put Lomachenko in at the deep end right from his first fight, but his opponents since winning the belt are worse than his pro debut opponent. This guy has the chance to be one of the best out there, but interest is fading fast.

on paper its a superb card, lets hope lives up to its potential.
Boxing undercards suck balls at the mo.

More to do with finding top opponents who will fight him. Walters acts like he doesn't want the fight as he'd rather face Gonzalez, but I believe Jhonny will lose his belt to Russel Jr. Does that mean Walters will want to fight the guy who Loma just schooled once he gets a belt? I wouldn't doubt it..
