Looking forward to another cracking night in Belfast on Saturday,the added bonus that its on ITV primetime adds a bit of hope of bringing boxing back to the masses,the undercards not up too much but the atmosphere come the main event should make up for that

I've seen Avalos a few times and he's mostly impressed me,he's a good busy fighter who will come to win and I think its a solid first defence for Frampton,both Chris's losses have been on SD but anyone whos lost to Chris Martin can't be any real test for Carl,Avalos did deck former world champ Jhonathan Romero and was meant to be unlucky not to get the W

Frampton's a class act though and I don't see many flaws in his arsenal, he's very clinical in what he does and he's a master boxer-puncher who's comfortable on the backfoot but him coming forward is where he's deadly and I fancy him on the inside against any boxer at super bantamweight

Add that crowd into the mix and I see Frampton breaking Avalos pretty soon after the halfway mark

Looking forward to it. Out in Notts that day/night and would usually just stay out, record the boxing and watch it whilst hanging on the Sunday. But tomorrow I'm getting back well in time to tune in live and do my bit to convince ITV to invest further into boxing!

Can't wait for tomorrow. I've been over a few times now to see him and the atmosphere is the best I've experienced. It would take a very mentally tough guy not to be phased by that crowd. Avalos seems a confident fellow but I think Frampton is something special and will take him out in style. The Fury card is pretty decent but it will have to take a back seater til after Frampton is done.

I'm in Dublin, hopefully somewhere has it on.

Try Mother Kellys in Dublin, they have the English channels in there. Well they did last year when I was in Dublin and they showed a Champions League match.

It's more than that, mate. I'd say that this is a very difficult first defense for our boy. Chris Avalos is ranked 5th on Boxrec - only Rigondeaux, Santa Cruz, Quigg & Carl himself is rated higher than him.

In truth, this defense really couldn't have been any more difficult unless it was against one of the other World Champions.

And if you compare this upcoming defense to the defenses of other champions, you'd have to say it's the most difficult defense of recent times.

Rigondeaux defended against Sod Kokietgym & Hisashi Amagasa.
Santa Cruz defended against Manuel Roman & Jesus Ruiz.
Quigg defended against Stephane Jamoye & Hidenori Otake.

I'd say that Avalos beats all of them challengers, though maybe Amagasa could give him a run for his money.

I think Frampton can rule the division at some point with Rigo being 6 years older. I know Rigo's had less fights but I can't see him doing a Hopkins. Coincidental that the 2 best have got the same nickname also!

Frampton has been on Talksport this week and has said that he won't be happy unless he has three fights this year. And he has already decided the route he wants to do down: Avalos this weekend, then Quigg in the summer (Quigg was on Talksport last night and said he doesn't mind fighting in Belfast) and finally Rigondeaux at the end of the year.

I'm a bit gutted I don't have sky so this is a chance to see a good world title fight at home but it's a mates birthday so we're going for a meal so I'll miss the fight .he doesn't even like boxing so I doubt he'd fancy slipping to the pub to catch the fight

This kid is coming to win and seems a real live wire, great first defence compared to the jokes Quigg has been lined up lately ..well done Barry McGuigen

Great attitude to have and it would be great to see just one of the other 2 fights this year.

I'll be watching tomorrow. As someone who has seen nothing of Frampton and not that much of Quigg - who is considered better?
I saw an interview with the Hearns and they reckon their guy would win (unsurprisingly).

It looked to me like Frampton initiated the talking during the stare-down and that Avalos shoved Frampton only after the latter leaned in with his head. Not to say that Avalos isn't a mouthpiece though...........

I love the atmosphere of Frampton fights and I'm looking forward to the one tomorrow; Avalos isn't great but he's a solid first challenger and fairly entertaining.

I haven't seen too much of Avalos mate. Only a couple fights and bits on youtube but he looks up for it and will be dangerous. Carl looked pissed after the shove. Hopefully he doesn't go into the ring in that mindset tomorrow.
