Any comments/criticisms of the British Top 30 P4P list are very welcome.

A quick observation, Paul Smith loses and goes up but Josh Warrington wins and drops places, how did you work that out?

Smith lost to someone good, Warrington beat a nobody.

I've only just gotten over the excitement of last months list.

I still reckon Frampton is best p4p. He doesn't have the names on his record like Froch but on ability he is out in front.

It's about balancing achievement with proven ability, at least it should be although I do sometimes wonder when I look at Horse's P4P world list. I think if Frampton beats Santa Cruz it'd be hard to argue against him being British P4P number one.

Is Frampton beating LSC more worthy than Froch's win against Bute?

I agree yeah. The big names will come for Frampton. I could even see him stepping up to feather if he can clean up at super bantam. I'd love to see the Santa Cruz fight but I'm not sure if his handlers fancy it.

If Smith lost to Ward then fair enough but AA is the weakest SMW champion and hasn't beat a world class SMW, when has Smith even beat a European class fighter?

Porter had sparked Malignaggi a 2-weight champion and bullied former champion Devon Alexander. Martinez has not done much at all and was a paper champion, who was fortunate to get the title due to Frampton's change in promoters taking him out the loop for a short while.

Abraham beat Stieglitz who is a world class super middleweight.

Smith hasn't beaten a European class fighter, but neither has Warrington.

Agreed, that would be completely ridiculous. Santa Cruz is miles below some of the guys Froch has on his resume.

Porter was a good win, but Porter is not that much better than Martinez. Frampton has the better overall recent record.

Porter who drew Julio Diaz just over two years ago?

Martinez stopped Romero, Mathebula and Hasegawa in world title fights in a 9 month run. If Martinez was a paper champion then so was Porter.

Froch will most likely have been inactive for over a year before his next fight, so that will give Frampton a good chance of taking the No. 1 spot if he beats someone like Santa Cruz. It's not clear though.

I expected that reply but the fact is a loss surely can't make anyone raise in the rankings, the only way that I would see that happen is it we was talking about Paul Smiths first fight against AA.

I think Smith was well-beaten by AA this time; in my view it's fitting to move a boxer up following a loss in certain cases, but I don't see why Smith should move up now.
