It's not ideal, but let's say he's 196 pounds. He could get down to 182-184 on the 13th-15th and do a 10-12 pound cut.

JCC Jnr is an overindulged Princeling that is living off his iconic father's name who is not hungry enough as as fighter, and got gifted the WBC Middleweight title because his godfather was the late Don Jose Suliaman who was probably one of the biggest crooks around .
He got absolutely taken apart by a 30 something Sergio Martinez for 11 rounds and only got going in the 12th round when he realised he was about to lose it. He is over-rated because of his name and his connections which in the past Bob Arum and Top Rank have capitalised on.

I'd be just fine with froch beating him like a borrowed mule for a couple of million, yes

Chavez needs to embrace the cruiser division.
He is destined to be there.

Chavez only has to get down to 172 or 173 if I read it right. I would be much more concerned by the cut Kirkland has to make to get to 155 from the same weight.

I agree that he is from money and a spoilt brat to boot. On the other hand having a wealthy lifestyle doesn't mean he has to box at all. I think we are all united when we say anybody that goes into the ring deserves respect! He is not an amazing talent but he is pretty good so fair play to him for even bothering to fight. I mean he gets woefully out of shape inbetween fights bit still manages to get in the ring, even if the occasion he is over the limit.

I don't care how much money Carl does or does not make, I just like the idea him putting a beat down on Chavez.

You have a point but at the same time, Chavez Jr acts like such an insufferable douche. He's been handed unearned titles and paydays and responds with an entitled and ungrateful attitude. It's a mockery of the sport when he flat out refuses to make weight, jerks along his trainers, and makes his opponents bend over backwards to accommodate all his demands simply because his dad is famous.

Tough fighter, gotta give him that much. Hard not to be lazy and self indulgent all things considered for him. I'm shocked he even has this much will and drive to fight, which isn't much but damn if he isn't a tough bastard in that ring.

Big deal. Chavez has put on a little more than 30 lbs. since he last fought one year ago.
That's not a huge amount. Do you expect him to maintain at 168 while he's sitting around for 12 months doing nothing?
I'm sure he'll be near the contracted weight for Fonfara in mid-April, and after that, if midgets like Froch and Golovkin want to move up and challenge Junior instead of just talking about it, then they're welcome to try.
