With Robbie Turley facing Anselmo Moreno in Sheffield on March 28th it got me thinking what is the strangest fight you have seen in the UK?

Steve Little out hustling Michael Nunn on the undercard of a Nigel Benn fight.
I was a huge fan of Nunn when he was up and coming but knew he was a loon by then. Immensely talented...

I remember watching Sharmba Mitchell v Mike Stewart at the MEN on a Hatton undercard. I know they were being prepped for a future opponent for Hatton but it was still a bit weird to see 2 top 10 Americans fighting for a world title over here

I was sure I had read that Sugar Ray Robinson fought in Paisley, Scotland before.
I just double checked to find out that he did and also lost.
I know he went around a lot on the road to make extra money but as someone who knows paisley reasonably well its just hard to image a fighter of that status ever fighting there....

Muhammad Ali against Al "Blue" Lewis in a near-empty stadium in Dublin in 1972. Ali claimed he was Irish, caught a cold, didn't iron his shorts, floored Lewis for at least 15 seconds in the fifth round and overcame a sticky patch in the eighth and ninth to finish off Lewis in the 11th. Nobody cared.
