Except DLH. He said Floyd's punches felt like pity patstiny_acres wrote:Pretty much every fighter that Floyd has fought has commented on his under rated

Both guys will be cautious of getting ko'd in this fight.Neither are stupid when it comes to
the sport.It should be interesting.
Maidana also said nothing Floyd threw concerned him.IKSRTFO wrote:Except DLH. He said Floyd's punches felt like pity patstiny_acres wrote:Pretty much every fighter that Floyd has fought has commented on his under rated

...namely, if his punching power was nothing to you, why didn't you just walk right through it?

Exactly!!
There are always a plethora of excuses by sore losers and by so called "boxing fans" who Hate Mayweather. Two things to remember is that Floyd is small and these guys he is facing with the exception of JMM are naturally bigger/heavier than him by up to 18lbs or more and let's not forget that Oscar is a big dude who hasn't been KO'd by far bigger punchers so it is unlikely that he would be KO'd by Floyd who isn't known for his punching power anyway.
Neithertheless we have heard nothing but excuses from DLH (his shoulder is the reason he stopped jabbing, lol) and Maidana---"I couldn't wear my puncher's gloves".
Like I said, nothing but excuses.
You saw the rematch right?? What happened? You still think his shoulder wasn't the problem? Nevermind, I just realized I was replying to you.IKSRTFO wrote:Just like Floyd's excuse when Castillo should've beat him. "My shoulder"
True. My expectation as well. Mayweather has decent power but also has excellent timing, quick reflexes, fast hands, long arms and great accuracy. That adds up to Pacquiao getting hit when he doesn't expect it and that spells trouble for a boxer. Pacquiao will soon be reluctant to attack just as Oscar became reluctant to throw his jab after a few rounds.SenorPipino wrote:Mayweather has power. I've seen plenty opponents, including recent conquests Canelo and Guerrero, stopped in their tracks by his punches.
Mayweather simply has no interest in being a finisher. No interest in going for the kill.
He's a cautious guy by nature and is satisfied to land a quick combination, move aside and observe.
He won't take a chance of getting caught in a shootout, and I wouldn't expect him to change for the Pacquiao fight.
The Filipino will find that Money has plenty kick to his punch.
It will be a big mistake for Manny to think that he'll simply be able to walk through Mayweather's shots.
By the 5th round, Floyd will full have Pacquiao's full respect when it comes to power.

Marcos Maidana (35-4, 32KOs) has felt a lot of power punches during his career. He says the punching power of Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) is "respectable" and he can't be taken for granted.
"[Mayweather] never hurt me, but he's got a respectable punch. You've got to respect him," Maidana said
Maidana was able to tag Mayweather a few times, but never with a flush power punch. Maidana was brutally honest that he didn't have Mayweather in trouble at any point of the fight, stating "no, I don't feel I hurt him."
While some are under the impression that Mayweather finally started showing his age against Maidana, the Argentine boxer disagrees.
"No, he's fine. he prepares himself very well and he's still very strong," Maidana said.
I think that when a 165lb man admits to not being able to hurt a 148lb opponent, whilst also admitting that his foe has a “respectable punch”, you’ve got to believe that Floyd isn’t as feather-fisted as most people claim him to be.
This +1!!!SenorPipino wrote:Mayweather has power. I've seen plenty opponents, including recent conquests Canelo and Guerrero, stopped in their tracks by his punches.

Exactly, its not just power as Senor says its his accuracy, speed and timing.Dennis wrote:True. My expectation as well.
