This sorta stuff is the problem with boxing. In a competitive sport your farewell day should be when you can no longer compete at the height you are at or when you go so far down in competition to stay competitive from where you were at in your best days you are too embarrassed to compete any longer.

I don't begrudge Hill a farewell victory, he's been a pro for over 30 years, it's some achievement.

Virgil has a bond with the state of North Dakota and this was his way of saying thank you for their years of support and a goodbye. He is a good ambassador for the state.

The last one he had going from memory was back in 2007 when he fought Henry Maske over in Germany at Cruiserweight who he beat at Light-Heavyweight in the 1990s during his reign as WBA belt-holder.
