Just watching the sky card with Bradley and he is with oliver who is s good coach and I seen stalker last night with Danny Vaughn , whatever happened to Seamus Macklin ?

He probably patched him cause he got his ass handed to him. Easier to blame someone else than come to the realisation that you're not as good as you thought!

I'm not sold on Saunders and I think he'll get clocked once he's in with someone good.

He looked great against Prince and Piispanen, since then he's had two 6 rounders and looked dreadful.

He looked awful last night not convinced he will beat Ryan based on that.

As for linking with Oliver really good move IMO nothing against Seamus Macklin may be a good guy but fighters don't go to that gym because he is a good trainer they go because of the Marbella lifestyle.

mmm that's an excellent question, a real teaser, why on earth did Saunders leave the tuition of a twentysomething trainer whose primary experience in the sport would seem to be carrying a spitbucket for his vaguely famous older brother?

I jumped the gun a bit there, just googled Seamus a bit. Not only was he an Olympian according to the Liverpool echo, but tom stalker says he is really good on the pads.

I thought he looked pretty poor last night he was loading up way too much.

I get the feeling even though he's not looked great in his last few fights he'll still beat Ryan comfortably.

I'd think Catterell would beat Saunders; the commentators mention over and over how Saunders seems to enjoy landing hard punches; of course he does, there's nothing coming back.

Saunders seems to have developed a common problem amongst boxers,he's realised he has power and is neglecting his skills

Seamus beat Paul Butler in the amateurs and has been around the game along time. Back when Matt first turned professional Seamus was constantly by his side. HE went everywhere with him, and spent alot of time in the gyms.

Give him time. I think he'll turn into a fine coach!

I remember a lot of people on here raving about Saunders...he is still winning sure but....I dunno, I just don't think he is as good as a lot make out. Always said that.

I think I read somewhere that Seamus Macklin has gone into the business side of MGM Marbella rather than directly training the fighters

He just seems to rush a lot and doesn't seem to set his shots up (or maybe he does it so subtlety that I can't see); it may be that he's used to boxing at a high level as an amateur and doesn't fear anything his current opposition can do. Mickey1975 rates him so he maybe has that bit more than is apparent.

I know Mickey (And quite a few others to be fair) rate him, I just don't see it meself..
