Not going to happen with Butler just coming off a loss & both being with rival promoters. As regards a winner I thought Butler was class but last night he just couldnt get through Tetes jab.

The board should have Stripped Butler of the British when he fought Hall and made Yafai v Conlan.

About time they had proper fights.

Conlan has Parrenas next right? Big step up again a solid puncher. Winner is in with a shot of getting battered by Inoue.

Yafai vs Butler won't be made due to the promoters, good fight though...

Problem is at these weights the GOOD fighters need importing and few promoters are willing to take a risk financially on importing someone. The sparring partners Inoue had for the Narvaez fight were better than pretty much everyone Butler has faced (Iwasa and Tunacao for example). You can't prepare in Britain to be a genuine world champion at 115/112. We've been a little bit lucky at 118 but that's because the IBF made some awful mistakes.

For what it's worth I suspect McDonnell loses to Tomoki as well.

I agree with your point with the sparring partners and that's probably let Butler down I remember him saying he sparred Katsidis last year....

If Yafai wants to win a world title he could do with the odd visit to Japan for sparring.

Oh Conlan was supposed to fight that guy on the Frampton card but never happened now signed with MGM Marbella and will be trained by Danny Vaughan
