Jean Pascal To Shock The World This Saturday

Jean Pascal is going to present a style to Kovalev unlike anything he's seen before. Pascal is explosive, hits hard, and throws from awkward angles. The fight is taking place in Pascal's backyard where he is comfortable. Pascal spars two top ten guys in his division regularly, Eleider Alvarez and Arthur Beterbiev. Do not be fooled by just assuming that Kovalev will crush Pascal just because Hopkins schooled him 4 years ago. Kovalev might appear to be a monster. But when he's in a Pascal partisan crowd and gets hit in way he's never been hit before, he will shrivel. I see a victory for Jean Pascal over Sergey Kovalev.

It appears you are the only one who see things going well for Pascal, I do give Jean his kudos though----he is a very unorthodox fighter but I feel that someone like Kova who sticks to his fundamentals (much in the way that Barrera stuck to his vs Naz) will be able to solve a guy like Pascal.
It would be a shocking and unexpected victory if JP can pull it off though.

I know styles make fights but sometimes a duck is really a duck, nevermind if it has been smoking some crap and swears it's an eagle.
Pascal was dismantled (twice) by the guy Kovalev just finished boatracing (BHop).
Pascal had huge problems with a boxer who may have been slightly more skilled than Kovalev, but lacked Sergei's discipline and power (Dawson).
There is no logical reason outside of a Pascal having a puncher's chance to think this fight will go the distance; and no outcome more likely than Jean being on the canvas at fight's end.

If Kovalev fights carefully like he did with Hopkins, it will be another wide decision unless Jean decides to quit earlier.

The only shock will be if Pascal manages not to get knocked out.

Depends on how good chemist Angel "Memo" Heredia's PEDs are. He's boasted he has at least 20 PEDs that cannot be detected.
Heredia has said "I've created 20 different drugs that are still undetectable for the doping testers."
http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/99 ... n-magazine
Heredia became perhaps the most prolific drug dealer in track and field, a steroids savant who supplied hard-to-detect PEDs to Stewart and a dozen star athletes.
He was also an expert in the contours of high-level cheating, endlessly studying the World Anti-Doping Agency's code so he could crack it. His tentacles reached so deeply into the sport that his client list grew to include Trevor Graham, a track coach with a roster of Olympic stars that included Marion Jones, Tim Montgomery and Jerome Young.
Young, who was later stripped of his gold medal, was secretly using a stipend from USA Track & Field to pay for Heredia's drugs.

The fact that you are insinuating that JP will use PEDS is not surprising given the fact that he happens to be black, I find it funny that someone would use a known PED Cheat that apparently isn't that good at his craft if Jones and Young have both been caught.

Pascal's super-athletic build does make the suspicion reasonable. Anyway, if he is using PEDs, they didn't help him too much against Hopkins. Neither will they against Kovalev.

Pascal can take whatever drugs he wants. He's still getting his ass whooped.

Pascal wasn't working with Heredia when he fought Hopkins.

Like he said, it won't matter anyway, the only person it matters to is you. If you weren't here complaining about the Ref, you'd be here complaining about PEDS and if it isn't that I'm certain that you'd invent something simply because his skin is darker than yours.

We all know why you are siding with Pascal and support him having unfair advantages. You're not fooling anybody.

I could care less about Pascal, he got a gift Draw vs BHop in their first meeting because of him being a hometown favorite so I'm unsure why (other than the fact that he's black<<<your bigoted/racists thinking, not mine) you think I'm a fan of his.
I don't support any boxer having unfair advantages that's why I'm against the likes of Margo who loaded his gloves, Roy Jones for using PEDS, Shane for using PEDS, Toney for using PEDS, Tarver for using PEDS (BTW, did you notice they are all "Black" men)?
See not everyone is a piece of sh*t bigoted racist like you, some or most of us are true fans and do not come here to complain about Referees when there is a fight between someone who happens to be white vs someone who is black.
Most of us real boxing fans are here for the sport and can support a fighter regardless of his race/nationality or skin color.....it's just too bad you see things in black and white and it's impossible for you to see people as people rather than see one as a subhuman or someone you think you or your race is superior to.

Pascal will never be able to keep up the pace the whole night. He runs as it is so I expect him to be on his bike for 12 rounds but he can't stay away from Kovalev for long. Kovalev is one of the best at cutting off the ring. Must be a Russian thing. Kovalev will catch up to him and end it by the 8th round. Too strong.

Sorry caldo2025 I didn't see your post until I put my 2 bobs worth in I should say I agree with u and by the 8th round it will be all over for Pascal.

I think Pascal-Stevenson would be near 50-50, and I might just pick Pascal to beat Aducknis, but I don't think he has a chance against Kovalev. It should be a fun fight though. Definitely looking forward to it.

Pascal has a dangerous mix of speed and power but his effectiveness is greatly diminished over time by his major stamina issues. I think he's capable of providing Kovalev with significant issues early on and I imagine that he'll land some notable punches, but I expect him to fade and lose by clear decision or late stoppage.
