Please tell me it's Buffer doing the ring announcing for Mayweather vs Pacquiao?
It will be a travesty if we end up with Lennon Jr doing the biggest fight in history. Like serving a Big Mac to your guests at your wedding.

Breath easy. The Buff and Classy are both doing it aller the Lewis-Tyson fight. Jimmy Lennon will introduce Floyd Mayweather, and Michael Buffer will introduce Manny Pacquiao to the ring...

Michael is going to say, "Let's get ready..." And then Jimmy is coming in immediately with, "For Showtime!" And then the fighters will come out and one of them will have to land a punch which unseats the other's head and lands it in the nose bleed seats in order for this this fight to live up to the hype.

I think they should have Jimmy say "Itttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttts" & then have Michael say "RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Thats really getting the best of both worlds.

To each their own. I much prefer Jimmy myself.

I prefer Buffer. Lennon doesn't make as many mistakes (e.g. announcing that the winner was Adrien Broner when it was Gary Russell) but I think Buffer does a better job of adding to the atmosphere and creating a big fight feeling.

Co-sign. Buffer IS the big fight announcer. Lil Jimmy Lennon is some beta male who's a tenth of the man his father was. I find it a lil annoying they gotta split announcer duties. Lock Michael & Lil Jimmy in the attic & whoever come out gets announcing duties. RIP Lil Jimmy.

I've never like Lennon's tone. Has always sounded generic.

Both are great announcers.
Buffer is more flash and Lennon is smooth and always professional.

I prefer Lennon but both are good. They are Coke and Pepsi. Everyone else is RC Cola.

Eh. I think David Diamante is more like Fanta or coconut water maybe.

The whole two announcers thing is weird imo.
I prefer buffer myself, lennon is good, but sounds to me like the male version on fran drescher.
I would be curious to know why people prefer one or the other?

Buffer is the big time. That baritone voice, the "lets get ready to rumble". Everything about Lennon Jr is cheap. His high pitched gremlin voice, "It's showtimeeee"... whatever you limp-eyed dwarf. It's just another reason of many why HBO is boxing big time and showtime is a cheap rip off. Even for the 24/7 imitation 'all access' they had a rapper narrate VS Liev Schreiber, simply no contest.

Buffer is looking a little 'bewildered' these days and he's made quite a few mistakes recently (he's also looking a bit scary with the increasing amount of 'slap' he's plastering on his face)

I can't believe the living these guys make working 3 minutes a fight night. Do you want to get sick? Check out the net worth on Michael Buffer.
Michael Buffer's net worth is $400m (averages $5m per fight!)
http://www.therichest.com/celebnetworth ... net-worth/
Rumor has Jimmy Lennon's net worth at $2m which is more like it but still high for what these guys do.
