Does anyone know why Bieber and Mayweather are so close? It seems a really odd pairing to me and I can't work out why Bieber walks into the ring with him and even appeared on stage with Mayweather for the Pac press conference.

Are they really just good friends or do they share the same publicist. Not strictly boxing related I know but this has puzzled me for ages.

Haha. Bieber is 17 years younger than FMM, I can't see what they would have in common as mates and I can't believe FMM likes Bieber's music. Bizarre.

It does seem odd, I'm sure he just does it to annoy people, he loves being the guy people dislike.

I heard that when Bieber sent a tweet from the Canelo Fight, there was a spike in PPV buys (and probably online sales for TMT apparel, and probably Bieber songs on iTunes).

Floyd says his love for Justin Bieber is unconditional. It does seem unusual that a middle-aged man has a man-crush on a 19 year old boy.

I suspect Floyd is capitalizing on Justin's mainstream appeal. Justin is I suspect is trying to hang with one of the elite athletes of our time who doesn't make him look like a midget.

Bit of a stab but i 'think' they have a joint venture together which is a social media app. I 'think' it's called 'shotts', i noticed it's what Floyd used to announce the Pacquiao fight.

If indeed that's the case i think it will be a pretty lucrative venture, the 2 kids who invented snapchat are now billionaires despite the app having never made a penny. All to do with the number of downloads/user the app has.

This could also be Justin trying to get an inside track on his celebrity boxing career 20, 25 years from now.

They may be genuine good friends.

But Mayweather brought Bieber along so he can have his "haterz gonna hate" persona. He knows people don't like Bieber.

FFS, Mayweather was trying to bring Miley Cyrus in his entourage.

Ever notice Floyd always looked a bit awkward and uncomfortable with his past girlfriends but he looks perfectly relaxed and happy when he's with Bieber and other male friends?

I'm not knocking him for it. Different strokes for different folks. It's all good.

Yes I think you might be right here. Googling it apparently FMM was an investor in the social media app Shots and Bieber previously promoted games developed by Shots Inc. via twitter. If you look at the official Shots twitter page they have photos of FMM and Bieber on there.

Beiber is most likely Floyd's padawan, in a life sense. Beiber is desperately in need of a top notch role model and father figure, and Floyd obviously fits the bill.

mayweather should just come out of the closet.....it would send his earning potential through the roof. might attract a big following in the gay community, and he wouldnt lose his nuthuggers as they would still watch in the hope he'd get smashed.....win win. and think of the money he would save on shoes and handbags when he ditches the no longer necessary plastic harem.
