I know a lot are sceptical Brook will be the same fighter but having seen how good he looks on ringside and hearing him talk about beating his lap times on the track.
I think all signs are positive for a cracking return to form for Kell.
Thoughts?

Find out on the night he has been in the same weight class since he was 18 I do think he would have moved up had he lost against Jones first time or the Porter fight.

I reckon when he has his first defeat he will move up which could be good as Light Middle may be there for the taking in 18 months time.

Barker said the same things before Sturm.

I hope he does have no effects from his incident, but the likelihood is he will lose either half a yard or a bit of balance

The proof of the puddings in the eating. Talking about lap times is pretty meaningless. Hope he comes back better than ever though. I'm in the minority who thought he looked crap and lazy in winning his title.

I'm with you I thought he lost the fight. Styles didn't gel well at all. Regardless of the opinions in the result he did finally prove he is world class.

Sometimes when it looks like your dreams are over, then suddenly you get them back - it can refocus a person's mind and they start putting maximum effort back in.

Same goes for Ogogo.

I know what you mean. Was close and Brook looked good in bursts but wasn't busy enough. I thought he was letting his chance slip away tbh. Porter looks one of they guys though who's impossible to look good against. I've only seen Dan twice against Bizier. Hopefully Brook can do a job on him.

Surely he can't be the same fighter after that? The ingles are so movement based.

Kell has no movement issues.
I have watched him train this week in Fuerte Ventura and he is looking very good and sharp.
He's had some excellent sparring with the likes of John Ryder culminating with a good 6 round work out against a highly rated Spaniard.
Game on.

Has Kell ever sparred world class fighters? 6 rounds vs an unnamed spaniard sounds about as promising as 'beating lap times'

Get a life Tomasino.
Boxers spar fighters to prepare for fights and the opponent not to say I sparred a world class fighter.
Care to guess who Froch sparred to prepare for a Groves ?
Titles are won fight night not during prep time.

Eubank Jr, Daz Barker, Luke Blackledge, Warren Baister?

And why Mickey ?
Styles make fights.
Sparring partners don't need to be world class is the point I'm making.

come on fellas, sparring is used to replicate styles and practice skills, its not just for a tear up. its more important for sparring partners to do what they are employed for than to engage in a tear up.

I agree with you, Rhino and surely, isn't y it common sense that a world class boxer can replicate (with speed, timing, power, accuracy and timing) another world class boxer's style? Boxing with a novice pro or good amateur isn't ideal preparation for facing a world class opponent.

I'm with you lads for what little it's worth... Not impressed and didn't see him winning that fight to win the title. Proud he did though...

Good point.
