Jamie Hearn lost in 1 round to Lawrence Bennett, with Kennedy winning last night as well would be good to see these 2 get it on

Hearn is a good YouTube/ Jeremy Kyle personality but consistently got stopped at area title level at super middle.
Being the wrong side of 30, with the time out and extra weight, it was never realistic that he would win this.
Some people to get taken in by Grant Mitchell impressions!

Seen the fight and it was what it was i.e. a blown-up middleweight against a much bigger guy. Well done to Bennett.

Anybody have any idea how Chris Keane is recovering?

I know his trainer posts here sometimes.

Before his horrid injury I thought that he would be good enough to claim the British title.

Hi mate, Chris is slowly recovering, thanks for asking, he's lightly training, and hopefully we can get Chris a fight around May, has long has everything keeps going the way it's going then hopefully get a rematch with Bennett before moving on, Lawrence struck gold that night and Chris bad luck went that step further with his horrendous injury happening in the 2nd round of there fight, I know it's a fight Chris wants soon has he is back 100% fit and is very confident of stopping Bennett and setting that narrow 10 round split decision loss away from home to him straight.

Chris has Sparred Craig Kennedy a few times and that's a fight Chris would jump at to help get him back in the mix, same goes for Simon Barclay, Chris has had a lot of bad luck and inactivity and these are the new kids on the block and by beating any of them will put Chris back to where he was, prior to this, he's very confident of beating all the above mentioned, I just hope this injury starts to heal better and doesn't cause any more problems, and if so then without doubt JasonM, we feel Chris can and will become British champion

Thoughts on Bennett, not seen much of him. How'd you rate him against Kennedy?

Chris Keane a British champ? Come on Dean, we can all back our man but Chris is a long way from being able to say that with any conviction.

Interresting that you mentioned simon barclay, ive only seen the odd snippet of him so i cant judge from what ive seen but a few people i know rate him very highly

Hearns fight now on youtube, good finish by Bennett. Ref stopped it at the right time.

I stand by that Daz, I don't know why that Chris being able to win the British title seems such nonsense to you mate ? I don't make unrealistic goals with my lads, I'm honest to them first and foremost, I've never been too far wrong yet when I back my lads in fights, no one has seen any where near the best of Chris mate, he's got bags of potential he really has, Adam booth, mike Perez, andy lee, Micheal sprott, Enzo maccranelli Peter Fury, Tyson Fury plus many others have seen Chris up close and all rate him very highly, and would back him to go further than a british title, and for me if he gets a decent run of luck without injury's etc then the british title is well within his reach mate

Good to hear! Always back your man, and I have seen Chris fight a few times now and I think he has potential it's just such a shame about his injuries holding him back. He also comes across as a decent guy.

That's fair enough, i'm going on what I have seen which is nothing compared to what you know about him.

I'll keep this thread saved for a couple years though
