Things like this always get out of hand; I think he slipped as he only had socks on and KO'd himself on the kitchen table when his head hit it. As for thinking he would be tougher than that He did a bit as an amateur; why do you think he went into football I thought his syrup would have soften the blow but he obviously needs some more mohair added

Doesnt look like he has done much boxing previously to be honest but think the previous post is correct. Its a combination of being off balance, slipping with socks on and hitting his head on a chair that really knocked him out. Not exactly correct to say that a single jab knocked him out. Lol.

I understand that boys will be boys and have a carry on, I dont have an issue with what they were doing but was anything good ever gonna come out of letting someone video that? Quite irresponsible of someone so high profile.

Looks like he slipped off balance and then pretended to be sparko for a second, hence why the clip ends so sharply and doesn't show frantic efforts to resuscitate him. Like Rhino says his hands went down to break his fall.

I reckon he was out, his head is under the chair as if the back of his head connected with it, whipped his neck forward then rested where we saw it.
Either way, fook it.

Id happily have people call me chinny if I was captain for my club and country.

Doesn't sound like boxing was anymore than a hobby, might of done it for a few years but not sure he was a schoolboy champ......

Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney has credited his boxing background to his on-field success.

Rooney, 22, said: "I think my boxing training was beneficial in my development as a footballer, especially breaking through to the Premier League at such a young age.

"I needed that extra bit of strength that the boxing training had given me.

"It made it easier to play than it might have been and it's helped me with the way my game is now."

Rooney has been a boxing fan since he started primary school, always watching the big fights on TV.

He trained with the dream that he might one day make it as a professional if he did not break through in football.

"I've always loved watching boxing and I went boxing training for about three or four years when I was younger. It's a sport I've always been involved in. I was doing both boxing and football training at one stage when I was about 15.

It looks like a Ko, but then he is off balance and there's a possibility that that he thought quickly and pretended to be ko'd.

The fact the video ends there is very suspicious - he might have jumped straight up afterwards and laughed.

If it is real he's chinnier than Glass Joe. And he was knocked out by a jab thrown by a non boxer wearing pink gloves.

However seeing how easily footballers fall over it might just be a natural reaction.

clealry a piss take, no way that shot put his lights out, he broke his fall and is lying like he's dead. If he wasn't as dumb as a box of rocks i'd say that it was a genius PR stunt.

He'd get a right roasting of Ferguson if he was still in charge. If he'd fell and banged his massive 'ead, he could've been out for a while or worse.

Of course it don't mean anything. By his fans I meant footie fans, you hear it with Roy Keane 'he was a great boxer as a kid', turns out he had a couple of bouts when he was about 10 years old! It adds to the myth I guess.

Rooney himself seems to confirm it anyway
